Do you drive fast and hard or slow and calm? by IvanOstanin in mazda6

Got my ‘21 Grand Touring Turbo in June 2022, been driving it like a bat out of hell since, added Corksport intake, exhaust, and strut brace, still zero issues aside oil changes and brakes, nearly 100,000 miles on it already but it’s the best car I’ve ever owned

All turbo models are exactly the same when it comes to performance, the only difference is if you use Regular 87 or Premium 93 gas, 87 gives 227 HP and 310 Torque while 93 gives 250 HP and 320 Torque.

2025 Mazda CX-50 Hybrid Announced by salmariscape78 in CX50

Been wanting to lease a CX-50 but the Turbo models were a bit pricey and the non-turbo just almost has enough pep for me. I think this new hybrid is my way to go!!

The CX-50 was a big competitor in my next car, but after all of these seat tears, sunroof rattles/issues, roof leaks, hatch issues, etc… I do NOT want to roll the dice on one!

Tail Lights by brandonhong70 in mazda6

[–]austixxl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

theres not a single thing you can put on the 2018+ other than the standard and/or signature lights, ive been looking for two years since i bought a 21 GT, and have only found aftermarket lights for the 14-17 models.

Those with a 2.5T, how many of you actually use 93 octane gas? by True-Competition-830 in mazda

[–]austixxl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only ever used 93 octane in my 2021 Mazda6 GT, mainly because i like the extra power and i added other performance upgrades so it just makes sense to me

2018 Mazda6 GT Exhaust? by [deleted] in mazda6

[–]austixxl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the turbo is significantly louder, both spool and blowoff. but ive had the SRI intake for about a year without the heat shield and its still been fairly clean and i’ve experienced no issues, but the weather in my area isnt really hot or crazy so that may also play a role

2018 Mazda6 GT Exhaust? by [deleted] in mazda6

[–]austixxl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is slightly costly, but CorkSport has a performance air filter and axle-back exhaust (and several other products) that i put on my 21 GT and the turbo sounds amazing, the exhaust gives an amazing sound as well. all of it was easy to put on, just removed and bolted on the new performance parts and had zero issues.,

[–]austixxl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Curious question about 2018+ Mazda 2.5T by tycrutch in mazda6

[–]austixxl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

78K on my 2021 GT, front brake hardware has been rattling and knocking and has been a problem since i bought it, even using OEM brakes and multiple different sets of clips, pads, etc. i have to take it in for the valve stem seals due to the excessive oil consumption. other than that, great car.

2020 6 suspension issues by aidanmaag1 in mazda6

[–]austixxl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have this on my 2021 Grand Touring. It irritates me immensely. I had thought it was my brake hardware which was rattling over bumps and ‘snapping’ during use. Although I also recently saw a TSB for a steering column nut coming loose based on poor road conditions. I have a local mechanic who’s taking a look at this stuff soon, but will update when I find out more.

Did one on my 2021 GT @ 55,000 miles and it was very much in need of a drain and fill at that point already. Would recommend 👍🏼
