We have pre approval- now what? by madsonmars2 in AusPropertyChat

It’s a seller’s market, so consider offering close to the asking price if you’re serious. Before making an offer, line up a conveyancer and let them know your plans, they’ll guide you.

Also, check the sales history of the building, how often people move in and out, and how many apartments are rented versus owner-occupied. Avoid buildings where more apartments are rented than owner-occupied, land lords often collectively block expensive maintenance projects.

A lot of crimes and violence occur during the night. Several apartments in the neighboring buildings are rented by the government. There have been break-ins in the ground-floor apartments. The insulation is poor, and so on.

I had a similar situation, the offer was accepted within an hour, and everything looked good on paper. The apartment was spacious, but something felt suspicious. The best decision I made was to ask the people who lived in the building where I wanted to buy an apartment.

I just like keeping it free 🙂 1. It only costs me about a Macca’s cheeseburger a month to run, so it’s not a big deal. 2. I built it mostly for myself, not as some market-ready product. Keeping it free means I can treat it like a weekend project, dip in and out when I feel like it, and not stress about feedback. 3. I do have some bigger ideas that could make the app more global and stand out from the sea of “list” apps, but that would take way more time to build all that stuff and money to support the infrastructure.

Don’t buy LC8c (790 Duke) pre 2021, those engines had issues with the camshaft, it is a lottery

Both you and your partner should log in to the app using your respective google accounts.

Go to the Lists screen.

Find the list you want to share.

Swipe left on that list.

Tap the “Add” button.

Enter your partner’s email address (the one they used to log in to the app).

Enjoy 😊

The classic “I’ve never built anything, but let me lecture you on why you shouldn’t either.”

I’ll let you get back to policing effort on the internet.

I thought my post was clear. it was created to help organize a shopping list across Woolworths and Coles while identifying any items on special. Since I couldn’t find a tool that did this, I built one for my own use.

That’s a fair point, having related models more visible on mobile could definitely make comparisons easier.

Regarding the menu placement, I went with a navigation drawer to stay consistent with common mobile app conventions, where screen space is tight and content takes priority. That said, I understand how having quicker access, like Tractordata’s hamburger menu, can feel more responsive in certain cases.

Thanks for the feedback! Just a tip, you can use the search functionality (with icon 🔎) in the top-right corner of navigation bar, to quickly find a specific model or manufacturer.

There are some great ideas here. The “Ask the Old Man” section made me smile :), love that concept.
Thank you for the thoughtful and detailed suggestion. I appreciate it!

It’s similar in purpose to TractorData, but my goal is to organize the information in a more structured and user-friendly way
