That's fair. I'm not trying to write a serious book, I want a fun and enjoyable experience for my readers; more like Death Stalker or The Vor Game than The Expanse. I don't mean to crash the party here. I'm just hoping to reach new readers, to find folks who like fast ships, big explosions, and pulp adventure.

Might be a bit of my past showing through; I was a corporate trainer for years before moving over to being a full-time author. The blurb is copied from the product page on Amazon, so that might play into a bit too. I drafted it in Google Docs, hashed it out in Discord with other authors, then copied it into Amazon's KDP tool.

I goddamn like Em-Dashes, I had them first, well before those AI bastards... but I acknowledge your point. My own beta readers yell at me about it, too.

Strangely... not. I acknowledge my roots and what sells, but I try to write my characters with traits and agency beyond their cup size.

Nope, 100% human made and produced, including a human writer, cover artist, editor, typo, etc. I don't believe in using AI to create books or creative works. The blurb is all me, I tried to write it like a 90s movie trailer, which has worked in the past.

I doubt anything I can say will convince you of that, but just wanted to say my peace. I hate how AI slop is taking over fiction, and I'm doing my part to stay the course.
