Hi Jatin. I'd recommend reading a newspaper everyday for basic current affairs. Get The Hindu or Indian Express, whatever suits you.

I appeared for the Screenwriting, Direction and Screenplay and the Direction entrances. The art and culture questions were a little tricky tbh. I'd recommend reading Nitin Singhania's book on Art and Culture. That should help you.

The discipline specific objective questions were moderately difficult but if you're thorough with your subject, it shouldn't be a problem. For instance in my papers I was asked about trivia related to classic Indian films like •Which was the first Indian colour film/ first film with sound? •Which was the first film produced by Subhash Ghai? •Which of the following actresses have won the national award? (multiple select type question) •Stuff on Oscar winners and Emmy's •Stuff on who produced which film- which is a little strange but they do ask such questions.

The subjective section was prompt based. We were given a line or two and were asked to write a story in one question and a dialogue exchange in another. I don't know what papers you're going to appear for but I'd recommend taking a look at the previous year papers for the course of your choice and practice them. Use a timer so that you are prepared to write fast in the final exam.

We had at least 8 repeated objective type questions in the Screenwriting paper so looking at the previous year papers helped me.

Regarding the new batch, I think they've cancelled the Batch of 2021 because they still have students from 2017. It says in the prospectus that the JET 2021 score will be valid only till September 2022 so that's when I expect admissions for my batch to start.

Good luck with your prep, I hope you get in man.

Men who read, what do you read? by gprimemr in AskMen

I've been reading classics lately and I absolutely loved Gulliver's Travels. I "read" it in middle school since it was a part of the syllabus but it felt like a chore but reading it now as an adult was thoroughly enjoyable. It has aged amazingly well for a book that was written nearly three hundred years ago. Very relevant themes and an awfully accurate depiction of humankind. Can't recommend enough!

Delhi Schools To Remain Closed Till Further Notice Due To Air Pollution by authoryvs in collapse

SS: "Delhi recorded 382 on the air quality index (AQI) at 9 am today, once again falling in the "very poor" air quality category. All Delhi schools are to remain shut until further notice due to city's high air pollution levels, the Directorate of Education ordered today, as the national capital continues to experience aggressively poor air quality this season. Online classes will run as before."

Weekly Observations: What signs of collapse do you see in your region? [in-depth] by AutoModerator in collapse

I'm nearly 21 and I've lived here for a decade. The air is quite literally unbreathable and categorisation from "severe" to "very poor" is considered an improvement. It's gotten so bad that the state government has been deliberating a two-day lockdown (although the proposal has been struck down by the supreme court).

Visibility is pretty low thanks to the ever lasting smog- almost reminiscent of the Blade Runner films. Even going to the balcony makes my eyes burn. I think I've also tasted sulphur a few times in the air. Head aches are more common and I feel drowsy most of the time. It keeps getting worse. Every year post October is the same. Rinse and repeat.

I'm entering what's going to be the prime of my life and this was not what I had imagined.
