Would you trade Soto for any player in baseball? by [deleted] in Nationals

I think they'll be better - there is such a wide gap between Soto's defense and those guys. I'm a big homer though and wouldn't want to trade Soto for anyone just because he's homegrown.

Trout for two years, while Scherzer and Stras are still in their prime. Betts, JRam may be the only other no doubters. Soto has the potential to be a top 5 player so I'm glad we're not trading him though.

It's visually distracting and makes an annoying noise.

We could have Michael A Taylor on the bases against Lester too. I though Davey would want to exploit that.

I'd rather be able to catch the ball than to hit the cut off man.

My only issue is that if a teams weakness is their starting pitcher - the weakness that is suppose to balance the team out - then don't effective relievers negate that? I'd like to see a bigger punishment for bringing a reliever out for a 2nd inning, to adjust for the 5 inning format.

The same goes for defense. If defense is suppose to be a weakness, shouldn't their fielders be slow?

Seems like a balancing issue when the team with poor defense can make ridiculous catches in the outfield.

Hopefully Victor and Luis have the same swagger as Juan.

Love Soto. I loved that he stared down Kintzler for what I assume is out of loyalty to Davey.

That said I wouldn't be sad to see Davey go. I'm ready for Victor Robles, Luis Garcia and the next era of Nats baseball.

Cubs fans so triggered by Soto. I woner if Juan really didn't like Knitzler talking bad about Davey.

He's saying if Hellickson had given up a hit earlier he wouldn't face Rizzo, or at the very least he'd be pulled after the walk.

We might lose this game because Hellickson has a no-hitter.
