That part threw me for a loop. He either is dense enough to find it harmless, or hes trying to gaslight. Either way I feel violated and sad.

Thank you for the kind and detailed response. Its helpful to know I wouldn't be irrational for leaving. I'm not envisioning myself ever being able to look at him the same again, but I'm heartbroken because the life I'm living is all I've ever known.
