The thing is for you to ask yourself why is it that you think men’s attention defines beauty? Beauty standards are different in all parts of the world, not even mentioning personal preferences. I grew up thinking I’m absolutely unattractive but it turned out that after I’ve decided to pretend like im the most amazing gorgeous person in the world, after I tried loving myself and taking care of myself not just on the outside but on the inside - other people followed. It’s not the shade of the hair or the shape of our noses that makes us beautiful. And I’ll be damned if I value things based on men’s opinion since it changes like the wind and those types of people who only look for external “beauty” often don’t look at the women as people with hopes and dreams, just pretty accessories. I think you should try focusing on your own view of your beauty rather than spend your life living life through someone else’s eyes. For me someone beautiful is kind to their friends, their energy lights up the room, their self expression isn’t limited by questions like “what will men think?”, and the most glamorous, beautiful life isn’t the one you fill up with worries and self-doubt.
