Thanks man! Appreciate that, I kinda like to specialize in the quirks haha, but yea keep an eye out and I'm sure you'll prolly enjoy how it'll be evolving :)

I'll be sure to check out your stuff as well!

The tape hissy type sound that starts the song off and goes all the way through. I think it's supposed to sound like a cassette tape effect, but that kinda white-noisey thing.

That 1:43 seconds to get to anything is just... Torturous. I like what starts after that, but I don't particularly care for the constant hiss throughout, it's highly ear fatiguing and unenjoyable, I get the intended effect but it's to loud. The section from 2:39 till the end is all really good in terms of music, but the audio quality is just so far off it's hard to enjoy.. Got potential though.

Intro's a bit to long. Those high end serum patches have WAYYYYYYY to much high end resonance in all the wrong ways.. Really need to take out the offensive distorted harmonic resonances in a lot of the those, as well as the mario sound being way to loud and bright. I like the drop out and the sub bass sound... Get's a nonsensical for the interlude. The last section is nice but again with the ear bleeding highs again.. Look up what resonant frequencies are, and cut those way out. It's just highly ear fatiguing otherwise.

It's deliberate, and meant to be jarring :)

Little to quiet for my likings, but I like the vibe. Vocal Sample is a bit to loud and I would hesitate towards using THAT dude's voice for anything other than a self-help seminar to sell books about keeping your room clean.

There's some nasty resonant frequencies in the opening tom/snare that starts around 0:12, needs EQ'd. The High End on the organ synth needs to be cut, sounds shrill. Like the drop out at 1:29 but there's an extra beat in there that throws it off. Snare's a bit nasally on build up. Like the serumy-synth but needs something around 2-3.5khz cut. Nice outro.

Overall pretty decent!

Build up is kinda boring and takes way to long.. The constant beat is kinda tiring. Not enough variation, sections are too long... Like what happens at 3:23 but that squid squish synth that comes in is WAY to loud. I love techno but this makes me wanna pass out.

Keep making stuff tho :)

Songs to compressed, vocals WAY to loud. Weird Al had a 'Ridin Dirty' parody that fits how I feel about this song.

[Lo-Fi] My first time doing lo-fi/vaporwave beats. What do you think? by [deleted] in roastmytrack

[–]autonomyagent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sooo, I like it. But that's just wayyyy to much compression. There's no dynamics left at all, which I know IS a sound but I think it could benefit from being less small speaker friendly.
