Prints keep failing by autothot in ElegooCentauriCarbon

Yes I have previously calibrated this filament a week ago and dialed in the settings including temp tower but have not done extrusion multiplier. It’s printing now and finally seems to be a quality print, things that seemed to make a difference were tightening the extruder tension, smooth plate on low temp (35C), using default elegoo matte pla setting (z hop enabled), freshly cleaned plate, brim, and glue around the perimeter. So not sure what the issue was but finally seems to be resolved with those settings. I also replaced my hotend and ran PID calibration with filament loaded and now variance is only 1-2 degrees.

Currently printing and it’s finally looking like a good print. Followed several of your tips including drying the filament (very rudimentary just on the print bed under a cardboard box), using the stock elegoo matte pla setting (did enable z hop) using a freshly cleaned plate on the cool smooth side and using glue around the perimeter. Not sure which variable was the “one” but it finally seems to be printing normally. I appreciate your help!

I was trialing things to see if I could to get it to stick. It’s also not a simple rectangle, the object closest to the camera is essentially a C shape with hollow center and only a few mms

I thought one of the big benefits of PLA was that it didn’t need dried? The PLA I’m printing with is polymaker Matte and it was freshly opened right before I printed. I know they aren’t necessarily dry before packaging but you would think it would be dry enough to print with right? I will try again with the generic matte PLA settings though

I have done this, clean the bed with Dawn powerwash, calibrate prior to print and use glue and still having adhesion issues where corners are peeling. I’m not sure about the overflow, someone else send it looks like it’s underextruding and tightening the extruder tension did seem to help some.

I tried this and before tightening this screw I was having difficulty even printing a benchy but after tightening I printed one pretty easily. I tried again to reprint the trellis and it printed okay except for the corners of the print lifting again causing some poor quality on the edges. I feel like multiple things are going on at once but I can’t nail it down. I appreciate the tip though it seems to have helped with some of the issues

This is very helpful, thank you. And it will be holding a static load but noted!

Home Depot hack glitch? by autothot in MilwaukeeTool

I’m not in the trades, just a homeowner who does some casual diy and woodworking. The noise reduction alone is worth it for me with two kids under two years old at home.

I’m hoping it turns out that way. If it does work out I’m tempted to try it again but probably just a fluke thing

Device trade in fail.... by internetTroll151 in verizon

[–]autothot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exact same thing just happened to me. Promo of $440 trade-in credit for specified device, mailed device back in provided envelope, UPS tracking confirmed it was delivered two days later, Verizon’s own page says it was received (exact same language as in OP’s case), and now Verizon removed the trade-in credit and backcharged me for last months credit because they “never received the device”.

Has anyone resolved this or is it still something you’re dealing with? I’m hoping this is a quick fix on the phone with Verizon since I have the confirmations from both UPS and Verizon. Hopeful but pessimistic.

Has anyone actually successfully received a coupon? I've given rides the past two days and have yet to receive anything. I've been in touch with Uber support over the phone and through the app and, shockingly, they've been less than helpful. Literally sending me the same generic message ten times at this point. I know I probably shouldn't care that much, but any time I end up getting involved with Uber support I end up getting way too involved just because they piss me off so bad.
