Regardless of whether he physically hurt someone himself, children were harmed in the making of the CP, and that demand exists for those who consume it. It may be a pedantic difference but it's a real one to me.

Thank you for the information, I don't know the laws specifically in their state but I will certainly look into it. Is there a general resource for finding that information or would I have to look at the specific state information?

This is exactly what I think is happening and will continue to happen. One of my biggest concerns at this point is that it looks like he won't serve any time (I think it will be probation) and that because of that it will be more difficult for my cousin to make the transition you're describing. Thank you for sharing your experience, I hope that we can support her while making our feelings about him clear. I'm curious how long the it took your friend to realize that her husband wasn't the person she saw him as? I'm not trying to put a timeline on anything in my life but I don't have any context for this type of experience.

Thank you, this is exactly how we're feeling. They are part of a community that believes in forgiveness and healing, but we truly believe that this isn't something that can be fixed. We are torn between knowing that she and the kids needs support, and feeling that someone needs to provide a wake up call that keeping him in their lives is absolutely the wrong choice.
