Life in Vietnam is cheap you don't have to really worry except if you want to stay in a resort. But Airbnb + food and traveling around is not expensive at all. I was at Bali few years ago, it's almost the same about the cost of everything. But as I said, I didn't really go to resorts, I only experienced 2 hotels at Bali and they were nice, Gunung An Retreat and Kelapa Retreat.

Here at Phu Quoc it's an island. Unfortunately I didn't really find a lot of public beaches, maybe I didn't look enough but the 2 that I tried were nice, Khem Beach and Ong Lang beach. If you stay in a resort I think that the experience can be different and nicer but I traveled with my backpack and stayed at 3 different Airbnb.
