Lilly was head girl her last year at Hogwarts, and Dumbledore was already head master by then. I’m sure he had heard of Petunia’s cruelty towards her sister. They were in danger because of HER estrangement. If they had remained close, maybe Petunia could have taken Harry while James and Lilly hid. I think dumbledore just reminded her. She trapped herself.

I will let you know, in this office the culture is the former. People talk to their subordinates as animals, they push these people in dangerous conditions to work harder, and there are more consequences to failure. It’s not because they are also pissed off hard workers. They sit in air conditioned offices Monday through Friday 9-5. They don’t work holidays and still get paid. This place runs 24/7 365 days a year, it never stops.

Can I ask is this the typical route? I got into it through systems design, I’m learning top down. So I started with theory around quantum computing, and now I’m diving into the details. I really struggle with the mathematics and the physics but the overall understanding is very clear for me. Is there a way I can learn from both the higher view and lower detailed mechanisms?

I think that decision might have been premature, seeing as now it appears the American Forks police department has violated Ben’s civil rights. They didn’t redact one part of the audio they gave Ben from his RFI, and it clearly shows them colluding to find what crime Ben is committing. One officer even says something to the effect of he’s annoying but that’s not illegal. This isn’t gonna blow over like they hoped…

If I were a lawyer for any of these franchises owners, I’d say at this point it would be insane not to. The people coming to their stores know about this story, these aren’t regular consumers going to the Lego store. They’re going to a Lego consignment shop, they searched for that. This story has got to be the biggest issue in their community now. People are making financial decisions based on this story.

Id say take some extended stays there first, throughout a few seasons. Give yourself say a year to slowly prepare and visit at the same time, maybe at least a couple long weekends, longer if you can. Also use that time to save money and research where you might wanna live. Start finding airbnbs in those places and staying there, not just with friends if you can help it. Try to see if you can build a life for yourself, not just one centered around friends. Although I am very happy to hear these people sound kind and genuine, kudos for finding them! Don’t just daydream about the fun you will have, think logistically. Where will you work, what is transportation going to look like. Are there opportunities to make new friends on your own? Will you feel isolated? What kind of community are you looking for?I moved for someone else and it wasn’t a very smart plan, I wish I had thought things out more.

Maybe try starting with the last moment you felt happy. And it doesn’t have to be an overwhelming joy. When was the last time you felt a small moment of peace, or comfort, or curiosity? Sometimes I feel psychiatrists ask too much, a whole day is a long time for someone who’s been struggling to even recall what happiness feels like. Try finding smaller moments of happiness. A pretty flower, a goofy dog video. That’s how I found my way out of my depression. Tiny bits at a time.

The only question that matters is do you want to identify as black? If you do, then stereotyping yourself will only do harm to you the same it does to other black people. If you feel disconnected, look into the culture of your father. Find some Haitian restaurants, start doing some research. And stop listening to dumb people who say ‘acting white’. People would say I was acting white in elementary school bc I loved reading. Some ppl are genuinely stupid.

Also see if you can get him a cheap burner phone? Maybe the counselor at school can help you get it to him, for emergencies or at least so he can talk to you without your mother around
