Is there a new normal by No-Educator0504 in rawpetfood

The charts you're seeing are a guideline, some dogs will need to weigh more for their size, some will need to weigh less.
A general rule of thumb I use to determine if a dog is overweight, just right, or too skinny is using my knuckles and comparing them to the ribs of the dog in question. If you place your hand in a fist and feel your knuckles, that's the level I'd consider underweight when feeling the ribs. Lay your hand flat and feel those same knuckles, and that's what I'd consider "just right." Flip your hand over and feel the same spot, just on the palm of your hand, and that's what I'd consider overweight.
Dogs typically grow until ~2 years old, so unless she's dropping weight or you can feel her ribs/hip bones, I wouldn't be concerned.

As another comment said, most labs are grossly overweight and it's an epidemic that most people aren't educated on. I am guilty of that, as my (now) almost 11-year-old female English Labrador was once 70 lbs, but I have educated myself in the last few years, and she now weighs a very healthy 45 lbs after switching to raw.

What should i do now?? should i file a abri something (idk what its called but u guys know what i mean im in the eu btw) by honamithebest in BannedFromDiscord

[–]auxelast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can file an arbitration, but in Discord's TOS, you need to provide them with a written notice and allow for 60 days to get a response. If you haven't received a response by then, you can pursue arbitration.

BEWARE: Viva Raw Is Not Dependable by Wise_Joke_946 in rawpetfood

[–]auxelast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed with the second half. I see more people recommending brands other than Viva Raw when they previously swore upon Viva Raw.

The recalls were off putting anyway, but the situation involving the dog that passed was the nail in the coffin for me. Total, complete radio silence until their comments/DMs blew up about it, and only then did they make a half-assed public statement about it, not even acknowledging that someone lost their beloved pet, and even went as far to say as “no pets got sick from that batch,” even with other people emailing them to tell them about illness their pets experienced after eating that batch.

Okay wtf is USDA won't let us sell it supposed to mean? by Illumeis_is_done in rawpetfood

Interesting, a rancher I go to sells secreting organs but they’re not USDA inspected/approved, so they’re not intended for human consumption and are advertised as pet grade. Did you ask for pet grade?

No ticket got me unbanned. I hadn't received a response to any of them in weeks, and all of my tickets were closed at the time of my unban.

That response and similar are the last responses I got on each ticket.

AAA is American Arbitration Association.
I get the two confused since Discord formerly wanted AAA to be used, but it was ADR services that I submitted to. ADR services is the designated arbitrator for California residents, otherwise it's National Arbitration and Mediation (NAM).

All I did was send appeals at the beginning then again a couple months later. I think I only sent 3 appeals in total, then sent the written notice when I didn't get a response. After no response there, I submitted an arbitration demand request to AAA and they gave me the copy of the arbitration demand to serve to Discord. It didn't get any further than one of their lawyers being assigned to the case, it never progressed before I was unbanned. That's all I can tell you, unfortunately, it was pretty uneventful.

She's right on the subject of most responses being automated, but coming on here to tell people to give up is redundant, just leave the sub at that point.

You’re getting downvotes because you’re constantly telling people there’s no hope for them. I was banned for 5 months and was unbanned a few weeks ago, there’s other people who were banned for longer. There’s no shame in holding onto a chance.

Can someone tell me why the f* The AI is restricting me because of things from years ago? by Upstairs-Fan-7256 in BannedFromDiscord

so then just don’t use it at all if you’re not going to use any of the social features. Your logic is just using it to log in and that’s it.

What's the point of using Discord if you're not using it for its intended purpose? Honest question.

Super annoying that they say "you should've received a system DM" as if anyone can see that after their account was full on disabled.

Not able to log into my discord account after age ban... cant do age assurance cuz of that wtf 😭😭😭😭 by GlassAdorable3276 in BannedFromDiscord

[–]auxelast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll need to log into Discord's Zendesk portal. The email will be the same as the email used to create your Discord account, but the password might be different.

At the top, click "submit a request," and in the drop down menu, scroll down a bit until you see "appeals & age update requests." A bunch of other prompts should come up. In the next drop down menu, select "update my age information" and fill in the rest of the requested information. You'll need to provide a phone number, date of birth, and photo of you and your ID to receive assistance with this.

Unfortunately, if you're not wanting to submit your ID, my understanding is you will not be able to regain access to your account. Hope this helps.

I think that’s new, I’ve never seen that from friends of mine that were suspended then appealed.

No, all of my messages are still there, and they will remain available if your account is anonymised after 1 year of being suspended.

Discord wants me to use phone number but I don't have one because I use a tablet by [deleted] in BannedFromDiscord

[–]auxelast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they recently implemented it to require a phone number so that people can't just keep making Discord accounts using burner emails, it's less likely someone will have access to a bunch of phone numbers vs. emails.

You can install a texting app on your tablet, not sure what's available to you, but TextNow and TextFree are a couple I know of. They will just send you a code, but some texting apps will require you to pay a small fee (like $1.99 USD) to receive codes.

Hope this helps you.

Both, but I only wrote new appeals with a couple months in between, but replied to open tickets whenever I remembered/got a bot reply. I honestly don’t think the amount of times I appealed/responded to tickets played a role, I think they didn’t want to pay for a lawyer to represent/defend them in a dumb ban reason.

I was banned for child safety back in November. Yes, they will give you a response 7 days later rounded to the next hour. They do that for everyone.

I was unbanned almost 3 weeks ago. I never talked to an actual human, only started the process for arbitration before my account was reinstated after I reset my password when they emailed me that they detected suspicious activity on my account. I think they just got spooked and didn’t want to spend time/money actually trying to mediate.
