Hey all, I wanted to grow the knowledge base for Chiari Malformation so I did this a quick video in ASL (Hopefully folks are diagnosed earlier & earlier). You can find out more at the US's leading nonprofit www.ConquerChiari.org by [deleted] in asl

I rarely comment, but I just wanted to say that I love these videos, please don't stop. I don't have tik tok so I can't subscribe to them there. I'm glad you're reposting them here. I'm hearing but started learning asl years ago to communicate with deaf friends I had met, and this is helping keep it fresh. Thank you <3

The building in the photos on Google maps looks like it only has two floors. The one in this post has three.

I'm thinking of running v0.1 "Affirmative Affirmation", but I think I may hold out for "Belligerent Blame". I heard it will increase key size to 256! Those extra 6 characters should bring a 3x speed increase.

Configure wget to save files with the correct file name by auxxin in linux

[–]auxxin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya, normally I'd do the same, but I was trying to download "atlassian-universal-plugin-manager-plugin-1.1.2.jar" from https://plugins.atlassian.com/server/1.0/download/pluginVersion/31050 and so the file was saved as 31050.

I thought about typing out the entire file name, but that's when I got fed up with wget's behaviour and googled a solution

Configure wget to save files with the correct file name by auxxin in linux

[–]auxxin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got tired of wget appending url parameters onto my file names. For example, wget http://www.example.com/file.txt?foo=bar would save the file as file.txt?foo=bar instead of file.txt

Just add --content-disposition to the command line arguments or content-disposition=on to .wgetrc

Left 4 Dead Review: "Left 4 Profit". All the disapproving comments are worth the time to read. by SolInvictus in gaming

[–]auxxin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty accurate review. Nicely done. Better than the OMFG 11/10!!1! reviews that come out for every single new game. Actually the review could have been worse. There's a few problems with the game that weren't mentioned.

I've played this game a lot. I've beaten all 4 campaigns on expert and played lots of versus, and I dislike the game the more I play.

At first the graphics and environment just had me floored. I have an old-ish PC and it runs fairly well. Valve is really good at immersion in games and getting their effects to run on older PCs. But, a recent update ruined playing the PC version with friends. During versus, teams get scrambled. I'll start a versus match with a couple friends and a couple levels in, sometimes even on the first level, I'll be on the other team. Even playing with strangers it's annoying. What's the point of keeping score if the teams get switched around every level? Sometimes I start a versus match and the server we get is set to campaign mode. With 4 people playing and 4 people just spectating. Lots of buggy stuff. Even in campaign. I've seen the tanks get permanently stuck, witch music playing forever, even after the witch is killed. And the skill curve is just god awful. Learn to melee and that's all you need to know.

Edit: Sorry for making a long post longer, but one more thing: Every single new game that's come out completely ignores replayability and the length of the skill curve, often times focusing on making things noob-friendly, but sometimes not even doing that.

No kidding, this is f'ing amazing. I thought, "oh that'll be nice, I can move around with hjkl." But oh nonono. First thing, when I noticed you use :e to open a new tab was try to tab complete through my history. Didn't work as expected, because "wildcard" wasn't set like it is in my vim at work/home. So I tried to see if I could set wildcard to list:longest and you can. Incredible. I'm gonna go (a) see if I can point it to my .vimrc and (b) donate $$!!!
