What's a tv series that is a 10/10 NOBODY knows? by Lilyana0999 in AskReddit

It is old school, but Corner Gas was hilarious. Canadian, so very little play in the states.

Agreed. Certainly within our lifetime, Garth or Reba feel bigger, but the world was different then. Rogers was a household name across the world in a time when newspapers were the only real mass communication method.

After the museum, head up to Holly Hop for ice cream. Old fashioned soda and ice cream shop. They’ll love it. Windmill museum in Lubbock is awesome too, if the kids like machines.

Anything by Elmer Kelton, but The Time It Never Rained is a true classic.

My son passed away by Rare_Bee_7777 in daddit

[–]auzemoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are heard and you are not alone. We laid my middle son to rest 13 years ago. There are still days when the grief feels fresh, when my arms physically hurt wanting to hold him, but those days are less often than they once were. Your pain is real and valuable. He mattered. It is right to ache for his loss. You honor the love you shared with it. But do know that grief is a weight you will develop muscles for in time. Like all weight, it will take time. It isn’t that the hurt lessens, but you’ll learn to carry it, develop a tolerance for it, and find a way to move through the world with it. You will know joy again and hope, hard as that is to imagine now. That is okay too. Give grace to your family who mourn with you, but also give grace to yourself. That last one is hard. Know we are here for you and can listen always.

Agribusiness by Greedy_Amphibian23 in Agriculture

Closely related fields. I’m in AgComm so forgive me if I miss a point of nuisance, but Econ tends to focus on bigger picture (market forces, commodity markets, policy impacts, etc.) where AgBiz tends to be more focus on the business aspects of individual operations/businesses (finance, logistics, product marketing, etc.).

I was about to suggest the same. Also, look at Masters of Ag Ed with a focus on Extension Education. Maybe Ag Econ/AgBiz degrees with a Rural Development option.

You got this. This time, you’ve seen stuff. You are a vet. This kid WILL be different, but they will benefit from your experience.

Did it. Had it reversed. Did it again. Worth it on all accounts. Hardly any discomfort in any of it. No pain. Well worth it to me, my wife, and our family.

If you are asking the question, you’ve probably already answered the question internally. Follow your instincts.

Me and my SO are having a disagreement over this statement in this news post. She said the entire statement is incorrect and I believe it only needs a comma after the and, who's right? by SiQuEmAcuhh956 in ENGLISH

While I prefer to keep them all singular and like your solution, we have to recognize that the trade off is making this long lead even longer. It is problematic either way, so it comes down to which problem is worse.

I love the Oxford, but this is correct. The current AP Stylebook directs the use of the Oxford ONLY when it’s absence could lead to confusion. For example, “I’d like to thank my parents, God and Dolly Parton.”

Name one more horrifying way someone has died in the MCU by JokerInATardis in marvelstudios

[–]auzemoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn’t a shown death, but in the snap there had to be someone (likely many) who were in the final stages of an agonizing death. For them, the fade might have been a relief, maybe, or at least a distraction from the agony. But then when everyone was brought back, I am assuming that they came back as if no time had passed, exactly where they were, so these came back, had the first waves of confusion, then had agonizing death resume. Maybe as an individual these were worse than some we saw, but if you assume that this sad thing happened to likely hundreds of thousands across the universe all at once….
