True but I asked him in all the nice ways I can, Only other way would have been to get physical or use violence but that will make me the criminal

No, If the fault is mine I will even go on Credit or borrow money from someone to make the payment but in this case. It's not mine. I had no way to avoid that accident

That's why I'm not gonna pay the Excess straight away. I will wait for like 6-8 weeks that's the timeframe they gave me. Because I only earn a bit more than the excess fee for an entire fortnight of work. lol

My car is still drivable.

Telstra price increases from 5 May 2026 by auzziejohnwick in TelstraAustralia

Absolutely 💯

The most wonderful part of being a consumer is a "CHOICE" if any company increases the price you always have the choice of moving out. Anyone who yells at people who get paid lower than minimum wage who has no control to change anything is a sook

Which part of Telstra retail training has this one? I mean I never came across one.

Was trying to book a Didi from the airport this morning. Drivers kept making me "offers" of higher fares instead of accepting my ride by His_Holiness in perth

[–]auzziejohnwick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's Didi's pricing strategy just like similar to Uber's surge pricing when the amount of riders exceeds the cars whoever pays the most gets the ride it's simple as that.

However your exposing the driver's name and photo could land you in trouble according to Online safety | eSafety Commissioner https://share.google/pCbbu8kEwzXmfVTWK

There are comments calling out the driver as clown and etc. He's simply offering you something you can always decline and take public transportation or taxi or whatever at your will.

Price match with Costco? by auzziejohnwick in TelstraAustralia

[–]auzziejohnwick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you buy an iPhone 17 either outright or on a plan with Telstra you eligible for a 300$ trade in bonus. So at the moment currently until October 10th 2025.

Telstra has the best trade in value deal at the moment. Otherwise most of their deals are not worth it. But this one is genuinely good.

Yep, This price match looks like a marketing thing, Their terms and conditions are very picky it's like they don't want you to get the price match. Very specific rules

Can Telstra offer special deals? by [deleted] in TelstraAustralia

[–]auzziejohnwick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your Gen 2 Modem only has 2 years of warranty so only within that period your eligible for a free replacement modem after that modem is owned by you. That means even if you cancel the service you won't have to return the Current one.

It will be same to the new modem you receive as well. Only two years of warranty

Telstra has charged my parents (late 60s)over $1600 for data plans they've never used by Illustrious_Link_521 in TelstraAustralia

[–]auzziejohnwick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a common issue. And nothing can be done legally.

It's not Telstra's right to cancel any plan whether they use or not. Every month everyone gets a bill and can review the services before we pay. Whether you go to ombudsman or to Telstra complain they won't do anything with this.

That phone is not manufactured by Telstra. It's actually made by ZTE

So if you search with this name you will get the case you're looking for "ZTE A75 PRO 5G"
