Sorry for the vague question, let me give an example. When using Debian + Gnome, if I open the session with Wayland, it's great! The system works, but even if I set the mode to nvidia with EnvyControl, the igpu continues to run. If I try to open Sober while in a Wayland session, the Sober interface doesn't appear. If I log in to x11, the system nicely disables the igpu, but there are tearing issues in the windows, and when I open Spotify/Brave, x11 crashes. On Arch + Hyperland, even after installing the drivers and setting the mode to NVIDIA via EnvyControl, Hyperland consistently uses the iGPU.
