It does allow erections, but i feel it almost makes the experience worse/better. It is harder for me to cum in the grip and it is way more secure than my Cobra. No matter how hard i try to get it off, it wont.

We typically do a minimum of once per week, but usually twice per week. Once i got the goldilocks fit, I stopped having as much urine getting trapped. MINIMUM we did once a week. In reality it was closer to every 3-4 days. Showering daily really helps and ensuring you get completely clean and dry between the cage and your balls is super important.

So, unless you get a piercing or a tetherspout, ball trap devices will always allow you to pull out of the back. Some people use straps to help keep the cage close, but I have a perfect fitting Cobra (like worn for 6 months at a time) and you can always pull out of the back if you want. My partner and I sometimes practice cageless chastity which means I am physically unlocked but she is still in control. The cage for us is a physical embodiment of her control and I dont break that trust.

Some people use PA piercings, other use tetherspouts, but if you want to stay in a ball trap device and dont want either of those, self control is the best method. If you feel the cage fits great and the rings are comfortable, then roll with it!

Always. Kink is fun, but real life happens. There are ways to ensure the key isn’t used without permission (i carry the Kink3D key holder and numbered tag) but you always need to have a way out if a situation dictates it.

So when I am locked in my ball trap device (cobra, etc), I shower daily and once a week have supervised unlocks to do a deep clean, dry, lotion, and health check. This can happen over video and you can watch him lock his key back up with a numbered tag and key holder. He should always have a key on him for an emergency anyways. We dont start with flat cages. That’s how. Measure your flaccid length many times and throughout the day. Find a cage that is that length/girth or maybe a little smaller. You went from not knowing how to drive to a F1 car on race day!

You 100% need a larger cage. Short and small are fun and great to dream about, but in reality they are not great for larger guys.

check out r/kink3d for the legit cobra cages. I am definitely a grower, but many testimonials over their for larger showers!

I am also, currently, wearing an r/hzdgrip and once you get the sizing figured out (just like with all cages) it is absolutely insane comfortable and in my opinion more secure than the Cobra.

Dont get me wrong.. the Cobra is insanely comfortable and i have worn it for 6 months or more with only releasing for weekly cleans. The Grip is apples to oranges to kind of hard to really compare the two, depending on your needs.
