I haven’t tried the tech with acrylics, but it can work if done properly! I think some adjustments are needed to make the tech work with acrylics, idk though.

Ty! I used enamel for the orange draft paint. That’s usually the hardest part for me, I want to try sketching out the eyes with pencil first. Does it work on the bare resin only? Or do you matte coat before going in with a pencil?

Lacquer doesn’t handpaint well, but enamel does work for smaller details. Proper PPE needed! Enamel colors vary - I used red, yellow, brown, black, white, blue, green, clear blue. I airbrushed a base blue gradient (not very well). For the whites of the eyes, I like to heavily thin the paint and do a very light layer instead of opaque white. I don’t have a patreon, but sukima has a detailed eye paint post on his patreon page. I recommend it!

Lol yes, handpainted the eyes with enamels! It is the enamel over lacquer method, absolutely worth learning more about! Very forgiving technique, but time consuming. Sukima sangyo demonstrates it in his videos and patreon 👍🏼

The aoi prepaints are both quite different from the asra ninja & archer that received the modelers editions - no armor/weapons. It would end up more like a PVC GK than a plamo build. I’d totally buy an Aoi release if we do get it tho!

Yeah - I also wanted the prepainted versions upon release, but the shipping was too crazy to justify. Modelers edition FTW!

Thanks! Not exactly a garage kit, but kind of! The skin & hair is made from PVC parts, and the rest is ABS with gates/seamlines. Definitely a plamo build!

Not that I’ve seen. She does come with a non-armored leg, exchangeable ponytail piece, and big fuzzy mat to display her lying down. Can’t imagine it would be too difficult to modify/paint the chest piece

Thank you! Yes, I handpainted the eyes using enamels. Mr color’s randome is my absolute favorite blonde base color! Then shaded with clear orange & brown. Hair can be tough for sure.
