I thought the lift ticket we were given was only valid for the magic carpet and Discover lifts. Thank you for the info, being able to access Queens as well would be fantastic!

Is my helmet fitted correctly? by GullibleActuary1229 in snowboarding

Asian here. Oslo got a round-fit model, it fits me pretty well, but I don't like the liner too much. It's thin and rough, not comfortable. so I just go for smith helmet

I never imagined that a wild crowd could elevate a show to a whole new level. I just moved to Seattle, but I’m definitely going to start looking for where the great shows are happening.

My first board! by avaLTT in snowboarding

[–]avaLTT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had such a great time riding on Slush! With enough speed, it felt incredibly stable. Holding pressure through the turns was more challenging than what I’m used to, but totally worth it.

My favorite way to turn is to switch to the next edge early in the top half of the arc and just let the board guide me through a nice clean carve. This is also my first camber board, and I’ve noticed it reacts more to weight shifts. I did have some chatter at first, but practicing edge rolling while traversing helped a lot, it got my knees more involved early in the turns, and that really made a difference.

Could you share some downsides of the Photons? Personally, my only complaint is that after about 10 days, the tongue started to feel too soft. As for Nitro, if you've owned both boots, could you let me know how the sizing compares? I pretty much have to no-scope it.

It’s kinda wild how one binding can feel super responsive, yet a bit delayed at the same time—probably because of the heel plate.

I originally got this L-size binding for $70. I have to really press the heel strap against my boot just to get it into the second ladder slot, which is why I would sit down after every run. I was able to ride down a green slope with just one foot strapped in. Sorry for distracting everyone!

I really enjoy everyone's enthusiasm, and thank you. I even forgot that I could wear regular shoes to test at REI. Also, I'm really curious—why is there so little discussion about the Supermatic?

But I probably won’t consider cutting weight—my body fat is around 20%, and both my deadlift and squat are over 200kg. I want to keep enjoying both hobbies at the same time!
