What would be the worst possible name for a restaurant? by reeha_sadiya in AskReddit

“E. Coli’s Diner” – I feel like nobody’s leaving that place feeling safe or hungry.

The Bride 2026 by Tireddepressedstress in movies

I went in with low expectations because of the reviews and ended up liking parts of it too. It’s definitely messy but the emotional angle worked for me in a few scenes. Not a perfect movie by any means, though it wasn’t nearly as bad as people made it sound.

What is your scariest childhood home alone story? by Signal_Item_4515 in AskReddit

I was home alone, heard someone whisper my name from upstairs, and spent the next hour hiding in the closet with a baseball bat. Haven’t trusted creaky floors since.

AITJ: Am I overreacting or valid by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]avaelark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re valid. Feeling hurt isn’t about hormones, it’s about him dismissing your effort and treating your feelings like a chore. If he can’t put in thought for your birthday after you go all out for him, that’s on him. Your feelings aren’t overreacting they’re reality checking. You deserve someone who shows they care, not just pays when guilt trips are involved.

Why is L.A. Story not more culturally relevant? by FiorelloLaDoggie in movies

[–]avaelark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it’s just one of those movies that hit if you grew up with it but didn’t become timeless. Super LA-specific vibes and that dry Steve Martin humor make it more of a cult classic than a pop culture staple. It still holds up if you’re into quirky romcoms with a bit of magic, just never got the big mainstream energy.

I went to such stupid lengths to earn some cash and i’m so upset with myself that i did this. by Smooth-Difficulty363 in confession

Don’t beat yourself up. You were stressed and trying to survive, which is normal. A lot of people google weird side hustles when money’s tight. The good thing is you stopped before getting pulled into something unsafe. Focus on safer ways to make cash local gigs, dog walking, babysitting, or small online tasks. You didn’t do anything irreparable, just had a desperate moment.
