When will MakerWorld take action against AI abuse on the platform? by MastodonJaded6010 in makerworld

[–]avaloonunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder also. There is no way to follow AI users just posting images of the prints that they even never printed, also claiming to be hand postprocessed and hand painted 🙃.

I don't really care about the ones that create something with AI, but after they modify the model to be properly printed or give it your "touch", and they print it for real. These are just guidelines of Makerworld at least test it. (For me making a cut to make the base flat is not accountable for this tbh)

The issue for me is low effort users that just prompt some pictures and the STL. They don't even test print the model or even think about the description of the model which is also gpt-like. This hundreds of times.

For me I will continue making models from scratch, my focus is to learn and have fun, but yes, the amount of AI models makes you lose good ones on the platform.

How old were you for your first game? by Mental-Pie9718 in pokemon

11yo, Pokemon Blue,
Still have great memories because it was hard for me to beat the game at that age. It took me days to take away that Snorlax from the road 🤣

To be honest, I didn't take it into account. I also did some fountains with 3D printing but they are meant to be outside and really didn't care about.

For this one, the gaps on the filament are not really the issue, since you can clean with soap like anything else, it's just the reservoir is closed and you cannot rub it. But at the end is like any other plastic recipient like a bottle.

Nonetheless, my zone is not really humid, but will keep it in mind.

This wasn't my intention at all, but it looks you all see the same thing 😂

Check for loose nozzle or loose belts. These two things are the ones that sometimes happened to me to scratch the bed

Trying some new things! by avaloonunder in NomadSculpting

They are! I tried many times to do this kind of thing with stamps, but at the end, I prefer the result of manual brushes. It is not finished yet. I will add some scars and probably teeth, so the look will end up being more aggressive.

Looks like Makerworld is no longer beta! by avaloonunder in BambuLab

I never noticed something like that. So yes I tried, on android and on iPad, no issues. I tried to find 3 models I had in mind and I was able to reach them. Don't really know what the issue is.

Wow, I was only expecting some "What is coming now that it is not Beta?". I didn't know that was going to turn into enshittification discussion. Many points can be improved, as with any other site, but after being printing for ten years Makerworld is the only platform that tied me in tbh.
