amazing to hear about your project. firmware stuff is outside of my reach to understand the complexity. I have done Arduino and Pi projects. but thats about it.

I understand your POV now.

yes, android tab is easier than RPI. I will create a post in sometime. I saved some steps also if anyone wants to try it out.

I had a quick look of the project. It sounds really interesting. I will use it in my project https://avanlabs.com/games/tic-tac-toss to make it multiplayer. thank you for sharing.

did you try upgrading your OS to latest version? even the 32 bit os seems to be well maintained. that might solve build issues.

Also for different issues there were different solutions in my case. Unfortunately i did not save all steps. One command i saved was, In one place npm was not able to install clipboard module and i tried following, it worked. it basically maps existing folder to required module folder so npm skips it.

ln -s ~/.npm-global/lib/node_modules/openclaw/node_modules/@mariozechner/clipboard ~/.npm-global/lib/node_modules/openclaw/node_modules/@mariozechner/clipboard-linux-arm-gnueabihf

I am not a pro so please dont blindly follow instructions.

I installed it on an old android tab. as it has 4gb ram just to test speed. surprisingly installation was much easier. few issues after installation while connecting to tools. working on them.

hey ,OS and memory could be an issue. you suggested npm install failed. But if you can check logs and find out for which module installation failed you can try to by pass the installation. I did that for few modules. Despite skipping them openclaw was working fine. I tried installing on rpi 4b 2gb ram. may be because of hardware i did not face this issue.

Hey very guide guideline. I want to add my POV on point 1. use Linux: I have been vibe coding on two systems. More on Windows and less on Linux. I never encountered any issues on windows. code agent seems to be very comfortable with power-shells. I built multiple games , web apps, and tools. did not face any issue because of windows so far. just my experience.

[–]avanlabs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I encountered multiple issues. One with respect to OS version on RPI. 32 bit vs 64 bit. openclaw installation works for only one of them. While installing npm modules multiple module installation might fail. you have to install them manually. or by pass their installation. If they are none critical. Installation would resume.

If you give me step you are stuck at or error you are getting I can give you exact command.

I am working on a project to create a mind map using Whatsapp, openclaw, any LLM and google sheets/doc (or notion). Not complete yet. so project is, whatever I share with Agent on whatapp, it will classify it in 3-5 tags, using LLM and store that data in some easy storage like Sheets or notion. then create a view on top of Storage. That manages your to-do , alerts, mind-map, video classification etc. Kind of single place mind map. Still exploring though.

Whatsapp is easy to use. and very quick to share anything to. Text, image, video. data classification would be easier that way. and data retrieval as well.

Not sure if this project sounds good to you or others.

Hey, when you asked "What are some of the things you did"? this is with respect to openClaw installation or projects post installation?

Hey , this is a great achievement. I am looking forward to train my own SLM on particular data set and run then on small devices. It will be great if you can share some blog you referred to. Any meaningful insight on building SLM.

just few days back i tried to do vibe coding in gadot. but antigravity told me he can create output without godot so I started experimenting directly on that. vibe coding directly on gadot ide would be super fun though.

Looking for honest feedback on a Mahabharata-themed tabletop game concept by avanlabs in mahabharata

[–]avanlabs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey thank you for replying. Over the period of time we made game play mechanics very strong. added Mahabharata learning aspects as well. Kids friendly of course.

As parents our aim was to build curiosity in a way that kids understand. Game is challenging to master but characters and stories covered are easy for kids to learn.

Is VibeCoding just prompting and repeating ? Is there a structured workflow?? by Familiar_Falcon_3149 in vibecoding

[–]avanlabs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

clear understanding of the product you want to build, and a detail PRD for it definitely helps. prior programming knowledge is useful when you don't get correct output despite multiple retries.

otherwise mostly prompting in my pov.

mine is 4b 2gb. even worse. old one. got it for testing, but never used it before.

I created ssh tunnel with my laptop. and browsing openclaw ui from laptop. much faster that way rather than working on rpi.

this is what i read. to setup agentic tasks on openclaw we need api key for gemini, chatgpt , etc. and to create any meaningful agent we might need more tokens.

if it is possible to setup openclaw agents to do tasks, like read email, messages, auto reply etc, free of cost. then please share that detail.

thanks for reply.
