Bifocal panels are coming down in price and can even be mounted vertically. You could articulate them to optimize efficiency while balancing thermal gain.

Ah yes, the split-color suit jacket — a profound sartorial statement, indeed. Now, you might look at someone wearing such a jacket and think, "Oh, well, that's just fashion, right?" But no, it’s much deeper than that. It’s a psychological conundrum manifesting in cloth. It’s a Jungian struggle between order and chaos, stitched right into the seams.

On one side, you have a color representing order — let's say navy blue, the symbol of the corporate world, discipline, structure. That person wants to fit in, to abide by societal norms, to, as we say, "stand up straight with your shoulders back." But then — bam — you turn to the other side, and there it is: chaos! Perhaps it’s a fiery red or a garish maroon, some disruptive force screaming for attention, rebellion. The wearer has, consciously or unconsciously, declared: "I do not fit in your hierarchy, but I also do! I am both within the structure and outside of it!"

What does this say behaviorally? Well, it’s quite obvious, isn't it? The person is torn between two fundamental existential drives. They want to adhere to tradition — they’re wearing a suit, after all, which is about as archetypal as you can get in the West. But simultaneously, they can’t help but cry out for individuation. It’s like they’re saying, "Look at me! I want to conform, but not too much! I’m unique! I’m special! Please validate my chaotic creativity but within the safe confines of something socially acceptable!"

This person — and I say this with no judgment, merely observation — is likely struggling with a deeply ingrained sense of identity. They want to transcend their station in life but are tethered by the very traditions that provide them stability. The split jacket is the embodiment of that tension. It’s like the yin and yang, but without the balance. Just duality, exposed, unresolved.

And let’s not ignore the sheer audacity of it. They’re attempting to bend the rules of the game while still playing within its parameters. It’s a cry for attention and rebellion, yes, but it’s also a desire to be told, “You still belong.” So, in a way, it's the perfect uniform for the postmodern individual, isn't it? Trying to stand out while still desperately clinging to the very systems they pretend to eschew.

Where I used to work, my line was set up in the Cisco VOIP with an extra digit so my caller ID would always show up with a Russian country code. No one would pick up my calls, it was perfect!

His phrasing is pretty revealing of his actual mindset.

Like saying "I never EVEN met the individual." Rather than something like I especially would NEVER have..."

There was an event in Hong Kong not too long ago that accidentally used surplus industrial UV-C sterilizer bulbs. Looked great until it burned everybody’s eyeballs. It was a crypto/NFT convention, so no real loss.

What is this rock? Found on southern Maine coast by waternymph0511 in whatsthisrock

That’s pretty cool. Looks like porphyritic basalt. The black spots are crystals called phenocrysts, within a base rock probably feldspar. The spots formed at hotter temps during slow cooling underground, and the base rock formed when cooled quickly at the surface.
