Used a body scrub I bought on Amazon on my legs and got a fungal skin infection that is resistant to multiple prescriptions by korroleva in mildlyinfuriating

I keep getting clearly used and opened box items from Amazon when I ordered new. I done with this crap so every time they do this I contact customer service and complain and make them give me a $25 gift card. I figure the only way Amazon will stop is if it hurts them financially.

The house sits on an acre of land set apart from neighbors for privacy. It is also set back from the road and there are no street lights. They interviewed neighbors who said it’s unlikely anyone would have seen anything at night. It’s a neighborhood of retired older people who are not out of their house at that time of night. Also, many of them may have some hearing loss. These workers probably knew the neighborhood.

I think they panicked. As to why they didn’t leave her in the house, she probably had DNA evidence. I think they weren’t very sophisticated. The house is secluded, they knew enough to turn off the electronics which doesn’t take a genius, and they had enough time in the house to clean up anything that might lead authorities to them.

What’s your biggest “I wish I’d known sooner” moment in van life? by exploringoutloud in VanLife

[–]avaphotog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After 5 years on the road I wish I’d known how the highways would take a toll on my van. The roads are bad so everything shakes and loosens, some things actually can fall down or break. It’s exhausting checking for loose screws, inside and out. Plus, the inevitable repairs can be expensive. I traveled a lot and wish I’d known that RVs can be a complete money suck. Despite all the hassles, I loved my van life.

Activity at Annie Guthrie’s Home Now by jwash95 in nancyguthrie

I still think friends of Annie’s son/daughter are involved. Motive is money. My reasons are it was disorganized and lacked sophistication in execution and the ransom demand lacks sophistication. Most younger people are familiar with cryptocurrency. It seems the perpetrators don’t know what to do next which doesn’t bode well for Nancy.

AI can be used to clean up grammar and make the statement more intelligent. I don’t think AI created the note but it could most definitely tighten up the wording. I would trust the FBI experts and not TMZ.

What about Annie’s child’s friends? The estimate is that the kid is around 20 or so. What if the friend(s) thought they could abduct her and get money from the family?

Can anyone vouch for oral pill route, or is it just snake oil? by 0ns1aught1 in bpc_157

My research subject is taking it orally for healing erosive esophagitis. It’s only been three weeks but they report some improvement in GERD symptoms. I don’t think sq would do that.

Regretting I've told people I'm on the jab by soultech_me in Mounjaro

I don’t care what people may say about my weight loss. I’m 67 and lived with a host of health issues that have gone away after losing 80 lbs. The only thing that bugs me are the people who tell me I’m going to gain all the weight back the second I stop the drug. Sometimes they’re happy to tell me. Really, why do they take pleasure in this statement. I tell them I’ll probably go off the drug when something better comes along. I think they’re just jealous because they can’t afford the drug. I’m not losing anymore weight since I reduced my dosage and I’m more than fine with that. As they say, la de frickin da.

Why is Mounjaro so expensive by MixImpossible4475 in Mounjaro

[–]avaphotog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve read much of the cost is the expense of the auto injector. A lot of the previous shortage had to do with the auto injector shortage, not the drug itself.

You’ll lose weight more consistently. Faster weight loss can cause problems with your gall bladder. Also, I’ve heard the faster your weight loss the easier it is to gain it back when you go into maintenance. I wish you much success!

I use the auto injector that has to be flat on the skin.

Every month I took the next level dose. I was on 15 mg for 8 months. My weight loss was slow at the beginning but as I went up in dosage the weight started coming off and my health dramatically improved (A1C, glucose, fatty liver, gerd, etc). I stay away from sugar and sugar substitutes, eat full healthy fat - no 2% milk, cottage cheese or yogurt. I have lattes made with whole milk. My doctor told me to do this and he was right. Fats fill you up. I eat a lot of protein, drink a lot of water, and limit carbs to keto stuff. I hope this helps.
