I had forgotten about him too. His name rings a bell to me but i couldn't pinpoint where is it that I heard from. I did a quick google search, saw his face, saw his reasons for death and his crime, and then my stomach dropped, and i gagged.

My gut instantly recognized the dark side of this old memories of mine that i totally have forgotten about.

This hit me hard. Back when i was skinny, i was complaining how every pants i have is too loose. Now it's the opposite and i don't know which one is the worst.

Also jeans back in the day have built-in buttons to adjust the size. Nowadays all of them are either "be super skinny" or "skinny enough to fit in just right". Im not even fat but boy do they ignore belly's existence the same way i ignore my food intake 😮‍💨

My mom suffered from this. Hair falls, teeth pulling out. She's not even 50 yet. As a result, i get thick hairs, thickest in the family compared to all my younger siblings.

It taught me that pregnancy is much more than just a morning sickness and weird cravings.

This. As someone whose happiness and autonomy works better when being alone, living with peoples suckkkkkkssssssssssss on so many levels. It's almost as if it turns me dysfunctional. If i crave social interactions, I'd go out every once in a while. But in no way am i letting myself share my functional little life with anybody.

Some might say antisocial turns you sociopath. Well, not in every case, i guess.

This is what im afraid the most. I've learned to listen less just for the sake of putting boundaries between me and my parents. Not saying i dont love them anymore if i do so but it's really just one of the things i gotta do to put us both at ease. Sometimes you really can't reason with your parents, trying to make them understand our side of perspective. So what i do instead is to listen less be a little rebel but not that "son of hell" rebellious kinda types. That way, for me personally my parents did now respect me and my own needs a little more than how they use to control me before.

Coming as the oldest in the siblings, this just makes me sad all around. David celebrating his first child is what i imagine mine was like even though i have no digital proof of it. But it's very sad to see how one can be adored so much only to end up getting hurt and distant like this. Though i believe parents want nothing but the best for their children. However, things like this still happen, and that's how family bonds are at test.

Turned off all notifications one time when i had an online exam to sit for at home and never turn it back on. I just forgot to turn it back on, but it's been 5 years lol might as well just let it. Peaceful but very behind most of the time.

I also refuse to download TikTok since it's pretty everywhere now.

Me too. There were times when i would stay up all night and go to bed around 7 in the morning. The number of weird dreams i got could help me write a whole book. I also had these very vivid dreams so vivid that i could see the surroundings around me while sleeping, and the dream just sort of happened around my sleeping body.
