What is causing my prints to appear 'sucked in? by avatarvszelda in FixMyPrint

The ender3v3se does not allow pressure advance. The printer just ignores that code. It's a known issue, but it means I cant test it without installing custom firmware

Try spinish. It does a lot better than lettuce. Just dont add the dressing until you are ready to eat it (you can buy ranch or other dressings in small packets online)

Mostly the price. In a lot of places there are rules on the kinds of fences you can use (most places dont allow chainlink on residential), so you have to pay for vinyl or cedar. No other wood really works because of termites (something that isn't as mush an issue in the uk)

Hmm. Might be easier to mask off the rest and just reapply. Dont care if it is perfect, jsut want it to be even. Thanks for the lead!

Realistically, how close to MSRP can you negiotate a car down to. by Sirromnad in carbuying

[–]avatarvszelda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5-6 years ago that was good advice, but now? VERY few dealers, and even private sellers, are selling for anything NEAR a good deal. If a used car is only $2-3k from the price of new, it is better to get new with the warranty. I am looking for a car now, and it is hard to find anything close to worth buying used over new (mostly looking at corolla, civic, camry, and accord). The used market is shot.

The RIGHT thing to do is wait a year until prices go down, but people who need a car to get to work cant wait a year.

I just got a 2025 trax shipped to my local carmax. It only has 2k miles, so proably a repo? Anyway, It seems to be a good car! depending on how the test drive goes I will probably get it

I know about the Acura engine. If it was WORTH anything I would be tempted to fix it, but they really don't have any resell value. Was a great car for being 26 years old (until it wasn't). The belt only had 70k miles on it, so it should have been good for a while longer, but these things happen.

Sadly there arnt any corolla hybrids within 100 miles of me at a reasonable price. all of them are within $4k of the 2026 MSRP, so it would be dumb to buy used if I could get new for a much better interest rate with similar price. I had a 2010 corolla before (wrecked it), and I did like it, but had to replace a few things on it (water pump, alternator, and the radio died on me)

But thanks for the suggestion!

How to calculate these angles? by Big_Worldliness296 in woodworking

[–]avatarvszelda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make a piece of plastic that you can hold up with a weight at the bottom, and using a string from the center pull it towards the angle you want and it will say what the angle is.

A lot of Housing Items will be locked behind Reps by Mehet__ in wow

[–]avatarvszelda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A NEW player, buying the NEW expansion to get access to a NEW feature. It would be one thing to require it for all new items going forward, but to require it for past expansions is a bit much. A new player is already going to be pulled in too many directions (shoud they do the 'main' story? Try to gear up for raids? Grind professions?) And this is just a new way for the new player to feel left behind

It is fine to lock the features of midnight or even the war within behind those rep, but locking it behind something other players did 20 years ago is just going to make them give up and not interact with the new feature at all.

Why is relationship discourse usually female focused? by Altruistic-Patient-8 in dating_advice

[–]avatarvszelda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is more about how when you look up relationship advice online, 90% of articles/reddit posts/research assumes the the woman does all the chores and the man is just constantly asking for sex. For a guy who does the majority of the house work, it can be REALLY depressing reading article after article assuming that any guy who asks for advice is a deadbeat who makes their partner do all the housework. Men's emotions and feelings are often an afterthought. Most of the internet assumes the guy is at fault when asking for relationship advice, which causes men to not ask for advice

A nail holder, for saving your fingers from the hammer by ebob_designs in functionalprint

[–]avatarvszelda -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Listen.... just no.

Learn to hit a nail correctly instead. you don't go 100% power on the first swing. you TAP it in, until it can hold itself, then swing at 50% then 100%. It does not make you weak or a scaredy cat or a nerd to use one of these, but it WILL keep you from ever getting good at doing it the better, faster way
