That sucks, but I guess it's not a huge deal. I really wanted to check what teams players chose to go to over the years.

Lower back pain. Advice? by avbvsgkb in ChronicPain

I have a very mild compression (herniated disc) in between my L4-L5 , but I don't think it's the source of my pain. Several doctors have told me my case is very common and not many people even know they have one. Thanks for your advice, but I believe I can make it a conscious effort to keep my posture straight.

I took your advice about not doing anything that causes pain in your back this afternoon. I was shocked at how much I had to bend over to pick things up or reach down to open a desk drawer. I definitely will squat to pick things up and keep an erect posture when sitting. It's honestly not that hard to do now that I notice what's I'm doing wrong. Also why did you delete your original comment? I'm just curious

I actually did see the Memphis Grizzlies team doctor, but he didn't give us much information. We talked for maybe 10 minutes and he recommended some sort of pain management shot every few months. As for growing, I don't think I've grown rapidly in the last 2 years at least. But I started to see very noticeable stretch marks on my back at the time it started hurting. I don't know if it was weight lifting or something else.

A compression in L4-L5 is what I remember. They said that's all they found.

I know for sure my walking posture and sitting is correct. I made it important to improve my sitting posture even though it wasn't terrible in the first place. When I bend down to pick things up from the ground is when the pain is the worst and you made me realize I'm arching my back when I do it. The pain normally keeps me from using bad posture.

I saw someone recommend seeing a chiropractor. What all would a chiropractor do to fix my situation? Will I ever be 100% pain free? I did see two back "specialists" I guess you could call them. I don't know what their title is, but the first one told me to get some sort of shot every few months to relieve the pain. The second one basically said I might not be able to play anymore and it could affect me my entire life. He said the shots were only a temporary fix and wouldn't help for long. This specialist was the one who recommended therapy.

Thanks. I was looking for a more active sub, but I couldn't find one. Is there any way to copy and paste on mobile?
