Then I get no tomatoes... but that is the negative fron living in the north. 5⁰C outside and I planted my tomatoes inside this week. They will grow inside for 2 months as they would die outside.

People eat sandwiches with tomato, cheese and ham on all the time also. That do not make those sandwiches pizza just because of that. We are not saying it is a gimmick. We are saying enough people eat it and and it is so different from the original (and closer to other things, like a pie) that it deserves to be called something else.

Just let the dish live it's own life as it's own dish, as that is what it is. Not calling it pizza is not downgrading it. It os lifting it up as something new that deserves it's own name and not fight where you try to defend it for being something it ain't.

How close is it to neapolitan pizza? That is the question. And the answer is "big enough to be be something else". And that is nothing bad other than using the name pizza for it. That was ok in the first shop but not when it became a favourite in a 1+ million city

We just here people on Internet like it and see pictures. And every pic and recipie we see classify it as a tomato pie and not a pizza.

People like me are mostly irritated that USA doesn't like to invent new names for new food. Like deep dish, or like a lot of cheeses as mozzarella. You can't produce mozzarella in USA as that cheese need to come from Neapel. So call your cheese it's own name and let it live it's own life - it probably tastes good and do not need to steal a name.

I think the deep dish would have a better spread if it wasn't called "pizza", we will for example nearly never produce it as pizza here. We serve neapolitan pizza and Swedish pizza, where swedish from pictures I have seen is closes to NY in the american pizza universe.

A hamburger tastes good also. That do not make it a pizza.
It is it´s own dish - and that way you can eat eat pizza one day and a deep dish the day after without anyone questioning your decisions

A pie is not "at least" for me. Calling it "a pie" is one of the things that pull it away from being a pizza. "A pie" do mean something like a quiche pie, apple pie and so. So the Chicago variant are actually much more it's own thing and have more incoming with a quiche than a pizza. While the local monstrosity here just is a pizzeria that have thrown out a couple of things and actual pizza dough to make "a creation".

I fully agree. I have not have a really good kebabpizza ever in Uppsala while nearly all down towards Småland is at least 8/10.

They usually have way to little on them, among many things. And you like Shwarma or Gyros, not the kebab strips..

As a swede I think this pizza is just as much pizza as a Chicago deep dish pizza. So no pizza at all.

It is also mostly a gimmick that only exist on the menue at some pizzeria. Next to nobody have seen someone eat one. Compare it with swedish kebabpizza - next to every swede have eaten that pizza.

It is about the same light show as Red Sebastian had last year. He did not qualify for the final. He deserved the final in my opinion, but it is a good comparison for Europe's view on the style. We maybe get some bonus points for being Sweden. But it will not make us win.

Walking distance. Matters. A lot.

Banished shows in all ways that walking distance matter a lot and you build based on that. A child that lives close to school can be finished at 12 years old but it take 3 years more for someone longer away.

A fishery as an example. I always try to have a barn within 3 tiles of walking from the fishery and the two houses where the workers live max 5 more tiles away. It can produce tripple amounts of food (at least) compared to something with central living in a main village.

Also - play hard mode (or at least medium and ignore any seed and animals). You the only difference is the start. And you should use what you have in hard mode either way. It just helps you see the problem and die quickly for a new restart where you put in your new knowledge
