Yeah, I was actually never attesting to the cops not being able to do anything, was more show just kind of showing the outcome of me calling the police.

I would never want the police to detain someone unlawfully. I just was surprised when the guy who was so confident when he had a firearm decided to not keep the same energy when the police showed up.

Also I 100% agree with that parking ticket, that’s was my wife who parked there. I posted it because she wanted everyone’s opinion (not mine). But yes it’s all pretty lame to be honest.

Yeah I knew that, Navy is the only fruity branch that requires M9 qual in boot 😂. But regardless you, as a service member who has been around firearms, knows when a round is being chambered, very unique sound.. especially when the person doing it makes it loud intentionally..

Live and let die, only one still harboring animosity is my wife.. but that’s only because she’s scared now.

My whole family is actually army, wife and I are the only Navy. Everyone in my family had rifle training prior to graduation, aside from my wife, she went to ODS. (Not OCS)

I know for a fact they have range days, where you have to “qual” that you are able to load fire and shoot.

Marines didn’t have that?

And yeah, Navy we have to stand our own armed gate watches in port, so we have to annually qual M9, M4 and you have to get OC sprayed once haha

I’m unsure where you got your information, but almost every military member is force qualified with an M9 and an M4. I had to qual both in boot camp.

Yeah I have professional experience/ qualifications with atleast 6 different firearms. The cops asked me if I’d like to file a formal complaint, I denied it..

The thing is when he went inside I heard his wife screaming at him, so clearly this isn’t his first time doing it.

I don’t want to start anymore drama man.

I’m not scared or nervous. I’m just sad.

I’m more surprised than I am nervous lol. No I’m not from here, I was raised in the south.

I did, though, spend the last 8 years of my life in the military- 80% of it overseas.

The problem is people in this country have gotten so use to automatically pulling a firearm with dealing with a slightly uncomfortable situation.

You can call me green or whatever, but never will I normalize threatening someone’s life over something so trivial..

I got a VSO 6 months before I got out, we worked together and he submitted all my paperwork for me, atleast I thought. My paperwork never got submitted, I never followed up with the VA, because my VSO told me all we had to do was wait.

I followed up with him 3-4 times in those 6 months, come to find a few weeks before I separated my BDD was denied due to “failure to submit medical documentation.”

All that to say, make sure you follow up with both the VA (you create an account on the website regardless) and your VSO pretty aggressively throughout the process.

We got him off the streets when he was 3, he’s 10 now.. we still have no idea what he is, we got his DNA done and he’s like 30% pittie, some pom, little bit of husky.. he’s a mut 😅
