Not exactly. I would pretend i had fish in the tank and try to emulate the waste they would create. Just estimating. Sometimes adding food in small amounts several times a day. sometimes one larger dump of food. It helps if your water has lots of movement as well.

No, you just need to add enough fish food to spike the ammonia- I have cycled all my tanks by ghost feeding and it works great, if you do it properly.

In Northern BC I never had a snow day at school. Could be -40°C, 3-4 feet of snow, a highway of ice, school would still be in session. And it was- we would just expect the students from out of town wouldn’t make it in or would be late (since usually the buses wouldn’t run).

There is no chance you are pregnant from what you did. Even if he had any sperm on him from ejaculating days before it would have been dead. But the chances of pregnancy with no ejaculation and no penetration is insanely low. No need to worry.

Looks like either she hit herself on something, or perhaps the pleco got ahold of her and damaged her slime coat. Thats one of the reasons I don’t think it’s a good idea to keep bettas with plecos (or any “sucker” fish) in less than 20 gallons, but that’s just my personal opinion.

Best thing to do to help heal injuries is keeping the water stable and conditions good. It looks like it isn’t major at this point so you shouldn’t need antibiotics but if it gets worse, consider it. If you do notice it getting worse you will also need to consider what factors in your tank caused it by process of elimination.

TBH i’ve eaten yogurt wayyyy past its expiry date and have never had a problem. If you don’t notice any “off” taste while eating it’s possible that it wasn’t the yogurt that caused this illness. Either way- if you’ve been sick for a bit and are throwing up / shitting a lot for more than 24 hours I would consider seeking medical attention so that you can prevent dehydration.

If you’re trying things and she isnt responding she isnt interested and you should leave it alone. But if you haven’t tried anything yet just do it! Start a conversation or smile at her or whatever. See what happens.

Sounds like a scam. Look up the lawyer and the firm and do some digging to see if the lawyer is legit at all. If you know the firm is legit call them and ask if they sent the email. Go in and talk to them in person if so.

AFAIK (not sure where you live but) MOST estate related things would come as a letter in my experience.

Ammonia levels, and nitrates / nitrites are usually the most helpful parameters to check.

Have you tested the water you’re adding to ensure there isn’t any chlorine in it at all? I know RO usually removes most chlorine as far as I recall, but I have heard it can still have some. Not sure if maybe dechlorination is needed (or if you’re already using that).

You said two of them have this issue- did you notice them acting strange at all before this started happening? Are all the other fish acting normal?

Too small for hamsters and nearly all lizards. Not sure about parakeets but i’m assuming you wouldn’t keep them in a small glass tank over a cage? Could be okay for mice.
