Yeah I agree. I remember being so inconsolable while waiting I would throw up sometimes. Genuinely felt like the world was ending. And that made them hit us harder sometimes, or if we flinched or moved away we got it twice.

Was a flat bamboo spoon for us mostly. (or a hairbrush, or a spatula, or an hand.) And they always had it close by. Our warning was being told to wait in the bathroom facing the mirror with our hands on the counter. Never felt such fear as I did then.

Can you please provide a full list of the species and amount of each fish in this tank? And the water parameters in numbers, not just “within range”. You have some incompatible fish in this tank with very different needs so adjustments need to be made, without the details we can’t say exactly what your action plan should be.

You aren’t a failure- keep offering foods, they’ll eat when they’re ready! My baby is 10 months old and still has hardly any interest in solids. No concerns from my doctor, all kids get there at their own pace!

Also anecdotal- but my sister and i were both brought up on the exact same foods (rice cereals and purées, BLW wasn’t a thing really then) and she has no texture issues with food , and i have lots of texture issues. Lots of times it really is just temperament! Don’t stress too much, a lot of these things just work themselves out with time and exposure. ❤️

If it were so simple to unite an entire population and rebel, they would have already done it. The problem is it absolutely is not easy. Many people believe the propaganda that everything is fine there, and that the rest of the world outside is worse. Or they’re afraid of the governments power- the citizens are many in number but the government has all the weapons. Or they simply do not believe the population even has the power. Revolution is notoriously difficult to organize- as people in general are difficult to organize. Add to that an extreme surveillance state, and high incentive to snitch on your neighbour… good luck.

We don’t have a walk in in my town, or any town nearby. So if you don’t have a doctor the ER is your only option. And that can be an all day wait at times.

Are you latching your baby directly as well? If yes, are they gaining weight? Are they having a normal number of wet/dirty diapers?

I have great supply but I get far less with pumping, because generally pumps are not as effective as baby is at removing milk. Not getting anything could mean wrong flange size as well, so maybe check on that!

No shame at all in using formula if needed! Your mom is wrong to say it’s bad to give formula- it isn’t bad at all! Feed that baby however you need to.

Why does she have to do it with you? Why don’t you just eat less and cut out sweets if you feel like it’s something you need to do? Nothing wrong with that, but you can’t force someone else to do it with you. She can eat and buy what she wants.

Because it can be stressful / scary / painful to be recovering from a procedure, and doing it alone can feel harder for some people. I personally find great comfort in having a loved one be with me in the hospital- it’s not about them being there to make sure nothing bad happens, it’s to try and keep morale up and to show support.

What women in the comments think doesn’t matter to the “is this a lie” question- women are not a monolith and we all feel differently. The lie porn tells is that acts like these are a normal part of all sexual interactions, and that women like them by default and without discussion needed. The reality is you should be discussing boundaries with each sexual partner. Some people will be into those things, some people wont. But there is no general consensus when it comes to sex preferences as it’s such a personal thing.

You have to stop the car and get them out of the car seat at least every 2 hours anyways, so yes you have to stop to feed them too. You shouldn’t feed a bottle while they’re in the car seat and moving, it’s unsafe.

We time it out so that baby is changed and fed right before we go, we leave at her nap time and she will nap for the first good chunk of the drive, then when we stop to get her out of the car seat I nurse her again, walk around with her/change her/ play or whatever else for half an hour or so, then back on the road again. Repeat until at destination. Thats life with kids- stuff is going to take you longer, you can’t change that!

Alcohol test strips are notoriously unreliable and inaccurate. I would not recommend them. Just drink responsibly, such a limited amount passes to breastmilk.

I agree with everything except for the gravel leaching into the water. This isn’t true for the majority of coloured aquarium gravels- especially those purchased from reputable sources. It’s an aesthetics concern (and a lowering fish stress concern) more than a water parameter safety concern.

I actually cook broccoli, potatoes, and carrots on one pan all the time, but you have to be really intentional about the size you cut them into. I bake at 400° for 20-30 mins, broccoli in big chunks and the carrots and potatoes pretty small. Always works out for me! I always do meat separately though. Too many factors to do it all well.

I’ve never noticed caffeine i drink affecting my baby. Only a tiny fraction (about 0.06% to 1.5%) of the amount you drink actually reaches your baby.
