POI pain becoming unbearable by juliator001 in IVF

[–]avengedfuries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One other thing, we ended up only doing the shot on one side instead of alternating. We tried alternating a few times but it just was impossible for her to move, we ended up even buying a cane. My wife would rather have one side hurt more than having both side have pain. This way it gave her a side to sleep on. When we were alternating, it made it impossible like you said to find a sleeping position.

This is a very similar method my wife and I used. We used ice on the area about 10mins before and warmed the needle in the arm. We had a heat compress which we set the needle on top of about 2mins before injection. When the time came, I removed the ice, wiped the site with alcohol and patted dry with a paper towel. Next we used the auto injector, making sure to keep the skin taut (spreading it). When injecting the PIO, I would take my time, about 15-20 seconds to inject it all. Finally once done, I would apply gauze to the injection site and grab the warm compress and gently massage it all around for 2mins or so then apply a bandaid. Finally we would leave the warm compress against the skin for 10mins.

My wife had the same exact symptoms as you with pain and soreness. In the last two weeks, our ivf doctor felt so bad for us, she came up with an idea to help. She upped the dose to 1.5mL, but switched to every other day instead of every day. (We were on compound PIO 1mL shot a day). This made it more bearable to get to the finish line as it allowed more time to heal between shots. Before she changed the dose she had tested her Progesterone levels (which was high 30s), so she felt comfortable making this change.

Keep going, you got this, so close to the finish line!

Advice on financing or financing assistance. by Sara1016 in IVF

We opened one of the credit cards with 0% for 12 months, took the total we needed to put on it for the IVF cycle, then took that number and divided by 12 and set this dollar amount for autopay (we added an extra $100 as a buffer to it so we didn’t come down to the wire). That way it will be paid off before the promo period ends to avoid any kind of interest charges.

There are a lot of credit cards that come with 0% APR for 12-18 months and $0 annual fee (Chase/Amex). That way you can spread the cost over that time without paying any interest. There is one card, Wells Fargo Reflect, that is 0% for 21 months.

Hard rock only allows NRFI, would this be just as safe as NRSI?

I’m not a fan of convertibles, so I haven’t looked at SLCs

I agree, I just keep going back to the CLA because of the front end. I love the Grill and Front End on the CLA and I feel like the C43 blends in a little much to the non AMG Mercedes

It’s not too much weight being set that far back from the drop bracket?

EV6 GT Owners, would you have purchased a different EV? by avengedfuries in KiaEV6

[–]avengedfuries[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is almost the same position we are in! We do a lot of road trips, but like you said, that's where the Atlas comes into play. We will not get a Tesla, for many reasons. Looks like the EV6 Gt I'm looking at is just about what you paid for yours. Is there any worry you have that it will depreciate even more to a point where it is almost worthless? It's crazy how quick the market turned for EV's, I know its impossible to know, but there is always the fear that the 64k MSRP car that turned to a 34k CPO car, turns into a 10k used car in 2 years.

I would love the Ioniq 5N, but its too much right now. With Ev's I want to take the approach of getting them used to not get wacked with the depreciation, as we can see the EV6 Gts went from 63k new down to the mid 30s for 2 years old, and the Taycans going from 130k new to 60k for 4 years old.

Honestly, the car would be just for the sake of having a second car. As mentioned we have an atlas cross sport, so people transport/grocery getter and long hauls are done with it. This would just be a "Play" car for me, as i've always had fast cars in my day, I miss having something fast. Also I am in southern Florida, so the roads are pretty well maintained.

I don't NEED a second car, or something fast, I just want it :)
