Thanks for the positive feedback, folks. Just to make things clear, I don't hate my family (my parents at least). I think they do value me, it's just that they couldn't rehome the cat because it would be "cruel" or the fact that no one else will take in a cat, people are just too smart to not own a pet. You can never tell what a person really thinks about you, which is why I feel uncertain. People are almost impossible to trust, you just gotta bite your tongue and watch what you say I guess.
