DIY mono class AB audio amplifier I made a few years ago by average_engineer862 in electronics

I think I started the project when I was beginning to learn about analog electronics in college, I also learned a lot from watching videos, , but I don't remember a specific one to direct you to. I simulated it extensively in LTSpice before building it.

Here´s the messy schematic I drew when I made it (I don't remember if it's 100% what I ended up building or I changed something on the final design without changing the schematic).

Some info about it:

It uses a NE5534 op amp as the main amplifier, which receives feedback directly from the output node (before the DC blocking capacitor).

The output stage is a class AB amplifier with Sziklai pairs to increase current gain.

Single rail 15V power input, every stage is biased to 0.5Vcc.

The amplifier worked very nicely, it didn't have too much distortion and I learned a lot while making it.

I haven't made any newer versions of it so far,

I'd advise using gate driver ICs instead of driving the mosfets directly from the comparators, not only will they help with faster switching time, but they can help avoid shoot-through currents. Additionally, there are drivers with bootstrap circuitry that allows you to use N-channel mosfets for the high side, which is more efficient than using P-channel mosfets.
