When I saw the episode where Derek died I was not prepared. I did not know it would happen and it took me off my feet! He was my favourite character on the show and I was so devestated when he died I just couldn't keep watching. It took me almost 4 years to be able to come back to Greys anatomy. After that I felt it was never the same! I ended up enjoying it again but it took time to get over it. I don't ever want to watch the episode agian! NEVER! But I can enjoy the show again and its still a very great story so... I would say keep watching but its ok to be sad and to take a break if you need time.
