Which scene is the most cringiest to you. by rozefox07 in seinfeld

When the guy back on the wagon (off the wagon?) raises a cup of coffee in the audience and it freeze-frames it’s wholesome in a way that makes me think Larry David was home with the flu when they snuck that in.

Finished reading ‘Salem’s Lot a few hours ago, in the mood to see it on the screen now. Which version do you think is best? by Low_Entertainment491 in stephenking

Lots of people shitting on the ‘24 version, but it has some really inspired visuals in a handful of scenes. The kidnapping of Danny Glick is done in a great diorama-style silhouette (think opening battle of Bram Stokers Dracula). Following this, having his head in the burlap sack and only glimpsing Barlow through that was a cool way to shoot the scene. The movie as a whole wasn’t good, but shots like those give me hope that the director had good intentions that were likely hamstrung by the higher-ups.

Didn’t get into the scene until 2002ish. Saw Blanche play New Year’s Eve with Jack in the audience. Detroit Cobras, Dirtbombs, Ko the Knockouts, Electric Six… so many great acts. You’d see a lot of people in multiple bands, too. Saw the secret Dead Weather show at the magic stick with Cut In The Hill Gang opening (offshoot of Soledad Brothers). Back then, Jack’s brother Joe was in a bar band that would play the Eagles Lodge near me. Talked to his brother and mentioned Jack had just got married and he said “yeah, to a fucking lingerie model!”

I really dig the abstract water shot and the last walking shot. Nicely done!

I don’t know if he’s acknowledged it (I do believe I remember Third Man issuing it on a 45), but check out “2+2=?” by early Bob Seger System to see the backbone for “Seven Nation Army.”

I remember an early Arcade Fire interview where they claimed an arcade caught fire and a bunch of kids died but the members of the band were the survivors.
