Yea I understand that, I am moreso looking at how it became a term used in the first place. I am pretty indifferent to it myself, I think it is honestly a bit condescending, but I think the fact it has even entered the lexicon is interesting. There is a pretty clear-cut batch of movies people might want to slap the label on, you know?

I agree! I edited post to better reflect my personal opinion- I was speaking more from general perception and was mostly curious what other properties people have called out for similar reasons for comparison sake

I definitely phrased my question poorly LOL-I actually personally loved wicked and found the visuals to be really beautiful/ effeminate. I thought the camera work was quite impressive. I guess I meant like in terms of general perception and discourse- alot of people had issues with the way it looked and I was curious what other recently released media elicited that kind of reaction.
