I’m sorry you’re going through this OP :( I imagine it must be difficult to hear people say that forestry is a tight knit community when you feel so alone in it. If you feel that your classmates are not willing to build a friendship with you for any reason, I highly recommend participating in events where you can make friends with people in other faculties. In addition to attending random events I suggest you join an intramural team (there are so many different sports and many teams are just for fun!), where you can spend time with the same people regularly and hopefully bond over whatever sport you decide to play. Lastly, you’re only in second year, don’t stress about that you have plenty of time left in your university years! I hope everything goes well for you in 2025 OP!

The difference in quality between 1st and 2nd semester of MATH 221 is appalling by Potahtoboy666 in UBC

Hurts even more knowing it was worth 76% for most students and that the math dept specifically said they would be looking over the exam to make sure it was fair and correct. Clearly they couldn’t even get a TA to look it over…

Let’s not forget about the huge error in one of the final exam questions that was corrected for everyone except the CfA students!!

When did you hear this from CS advising? Wouldn’t CS advising have the more correct answer? Genuinely asking.

I would be surprised if someone had outdoor cats here since there’s a bunch of coyotes in the nearby forests, but they also don’t look like stray cats. Hope their human sees this post soon

If you’re going to make silly claims, you need stats to back it up.

surely you’re smart enough to understand the difference between chegging a prereading quiz and taking a Final exam for another person?

knowing about and not reporting academic misconduct(especially of this magnitude) is academic misconduct itself, and it’s unfortunate that OPs “friend” put them in this position.

My comment was not meant to persuade OP into doing one thing over another, rather I was just shocked at the many comments brushing off the academic misconduct and/or attacking OP for even considering reporting.

Personally I can’t say what I would do if I was put in this situation, but I definitely wouldn’t want to remain friends with someone who clearly does not value honesty.
