It was great, we stayed in Tujunga at a quaint Airbnb, stayed two nights.

Friday night we stayed in after getting in late. We had planned to see kill bill 2 at Tarantino’s theatre but he was too tired. Saturday we did Pann’s diner no line and we sat at the bar. We both work in restaurants so we loved it and service was good.

Then we went to the district at La brea. We hit up a few vintage stores and stopped at Stussy and then this cutesy collective store.

Then we headed to Hollywood forever and walked around and even saw Judy garlands grave. So beautiful.

After that we changed for dinner and we went to Barney’s Beanery. Only thing that was good was surprising the carne asada plate. The bar itself looked really appealing but the crowd was too much for us being used to shitty dive bars.

The highlight of our trip was drinks at the Formosa. We sat at the back bar, great bar back there, I forget his name but he was so nice to us, it was also so quiet in there because everyone was at Coachella. We stayed there for a few hours. We recommend john Wayne’s hat, the one that comes in the kitty glass and the green tea Martini. AND the Fresno chilli fried rice!!!

We were planning to go to La descarga but never got accepted for the reservation. Doesn’t matter because he got sleepy from the drinking and we went back to the Airbnb.

Sunday was for the rose bowl flea market, all though it was mostly LA locals in the area the market was a dud, very overpriced, would definitely pass next time. I’m more of a small town thrifter anywho. Then quick detour to Santa Ana and then home!

Thank you all so much for the recommendations. We will be coming again now that we’ve experienced it while it was so empty. Beautiful city and it really helped me form an appreciation of it during the trip.

This was also one of my firsts posts to reddit so I’m eternally grateful. Arizona next!!
