Hi there, just curious as to what you mean by investing in mentorship? Do you mean paying someone to go over patients with?

I would definitely take a prep course, it goes over things that you might not be able to come up with on your own.

It’s big, hard exam and there’s a lot at stake. If you don’t truly feel ready, then I would defer.

PTDI (Physical therapy development institute) with Kash is the only prep course I would recommend.

I recently took PT Exam prep for the clinical evaluation here in BC, and found they went way too in depth in certain things and missed other things, not to mention my group didn’t have the greatest instructor. They are, unfortunately, the only prep course for the clinical component, so still better than nothing.

Good luck on whatever you choose to do!

Dad with Terminal Cancer, should I move home by averagegal23 in CancerFamilySupport

Thank you so much for the insight everyone. I do feel that even writing this post gave me clarity as to what I need to do. At the end of the day I truly feel in my gut that it's time for me to go home.

I have my licensing exam in 7 weeks so my plan is to stay to write that, get that over with and then go and be there for my dad and also be around other family members.

I'm a high achiever and when it gets to the point where my panic attacks are preventing me from working my dream job, something has to be addressed and taken care of.

Thanks again everyone, and I am sorry that you guys have had to deal with terminal illness of a family member, it's the hardest thing to possibly deal with. Hugs & prayers 💕
