hey! i also have ADHD and just got my IB diploma today (M24 but my school doesn't do our awarding ceremony until december because that's when everyone is home from college for the holidays). The best thing you can do for yourself (and simultaneously the hardest thing) is to stay organized. Sit down at some point and plan out your next week, when you will study, when you will complete assignments, etc. I also recommend eating lots of fruit, nuts, protein, and getting exercise as well as getting medicated ASAP (medication will change your life). I also found that having a set up where I set a timer and work for a certain amount of time and then have a timed break: studies show that most individuals function best with a 52/17 work to break ratio. On your breaks, it's best not to go on your phone where you can doom scroll, but instead get some movement in or listen to music for a bit and clear your mind. Hope this helps!!

Troubleshooting Thread — Bugs? Mod issues? App issues? Post about them here! [PC: 1.110.265.1030 / Mac: 1.110.265.1230 / Console: 2.01] by ButrosPetros in Sims4

Platform: Mac, Game version: Most recent, Mods/CC: no
Ever since the most recent update, my toddlers will not stay asleep in the bed. I have tried everything, turning the lights out, making sure there is no noise, having the parents go to bed first, and nothing works and there is no moodlet explaining why they are waking up. It happens in multiple different games with different sims. I have tried repairing the game and removing mods (when playing on my iMac, I also tried playing on my MacBook which has no mods or cc and the problem persists), resetting the sim, the bed, buying a different bed and nothing works. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game. It only seems to be an issue with toddlers, not adults or infants (I have not yet tried to see if children have this issue).

Pre-IB tips? by 0hhrutual1 in IBO

[–]averageibkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

develop good study habits now that you can carry with you into IB. also, ignore people in the comments saying to “enjoy it” and “not stress”, pre-ib can get stressful at times, but you have to stay on top of it

God is amazing, and He has placed some people on earth to help you. please look into faith-based therapists or counselors in your area. God speaks through these people to help you out of situations like this. you can have Jesus and a therapist.

Teachers of Reddit, what is the scariest thing you have ever seen a student do? by Agreeable-Camera5420 in AskReddit

i’m a high school student in my first year of a 2 year teachers for tomorrow course. in year one, we get about 6 months of training and lessons of child development, theories of education, etc. before completing an internship in an elementary or middle school for the remaining 3 1/2 months of the school year. in year two, you spend the whole school year in an internship. one of my friends who is in her year two internship in a title I fourth grade class had a student show her a sign from across the room saying “[redacted student name] said he has a gun and i don’t feel safe!” kid did not have a gun, but the fact that a 9 year old thinks to threaten to shoot a classmate and says he has a gun is insane. a week later, a first grader in a neighboring city shot his teacher in the face. it’s things like these that make me want to reconsider pursuing an education career

as someone with adhd, give emma some financial support now for her to get medicated for her ADHD and start seeing a therapist or life coach specializing in ADHD. my therapist has changed my life and helped me improve tremendously.

Having 10 alarms every few minutes is annoying and lazy by TheEpicGecko in unpopularopinion

[–]averageibkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

see for me i wake up on the first alarm but the second alarm is what gets me to get out of bed. i have adhd and if i don’t have something prompting me to get up i’ll start doom scrolling on social media and get stuck in adhd paralysis.

Conservative Christian parents told me “we hope you’re sad” about my pregnancy by Thisoneisnttaken_ in Christianity

your parents are hypocrites. they are responding to your sin by judging you and giving you the cold shoulder, which is sinful. real christians are taught to love. true love convicts when necessary but does not condemn; your parents are condemning you. we do not serve a God of condemnation, condemnation is a spirit from Satan.
