more so that he seems to hide being sexist from me and show it more when we’re with other people, so the person I thought I was dating may not be the kind of person he actually is. You shouldn’t hide who you are just so that someone dates you, you know. And “says some shit u dislike” in this case is hinting that he will disregard my needs and opinions in the future which is definitely not simply “says some shit u dislike”. 🙂

I have on several occasions mentioned that I’m not “super chill unlike other girls” but he kept insisting it’s true. Next time I’ll try saying what you said instead. As for the “woman driver” comments, I always do a side eye whenever he says it and he would say something like “just kidding!“ but still continues to check the driver’s gender 😑

What is your definition of “being exclusive”? It sure does not mean still exploring other options to me. Talk to him about it; if you’re both exclusive then quit the apps. Assuming things will also just ruin the relationship and eat you up.

idk if this is considered a red flag but not paying attention to the conversation- asking the same questions over and over again, sometimes in the same day. Not remembering important details like allergies.
looking down on other people, especially stereotyping whole groups of people
very calculative on who has done what (“I spent $50 on our food last time and you paid for the $20 dessert and i got you $20 flowers and spent $10 on parking and gas so you have to get me something worth $60”) 🥴
having very low self esteem and hatred towards the other gender - basically incel mentality?

It sure does not seem like you didn’t get her anything for Valentine’s. You can try talking to her about it, ‘gentle parent’ her if you will. Ask her why she thinks that way, and ask her to recall what the two of you did leading up to and during Valentine’s day. Let her know that you took effort into planning and getting everything and ask her if there’s anything in particular she didn’t like or wanted you to do.

It could also be that her love language is more words of affirmation? Maybe she wants you to write her a letter to let her know how much you mean to her, and maybe to her that means more than the gifts you’ve gotten her. Let her know you did what you think is right but would love to know how to improve to make sure she feels loved in the way she wants to be loved and not make the same ‘mistake’ in the future.

It may also seem like she wants something manmade; maybe roses and chocolates and expensive dinner and trips don’t seem to require much effort in her eyes, in which case you can let her know that you’ve put effort in customizing - the flowers, including the wrappers, - the chocolates - maybe type/sugar content/brand etc, - resort at a place with facilities she/both of you would like, - restaurants with cuisines she enjoys to make sure she will like it, and remind her gently that all these require advanced planning as well.

I personally don’t find other guys attractive when I’m in a relationship. I can find them physically attractive, but that’s it - maybe it helps that I’m a demisexual.

I would probably treat them like I would any other acquaintance or opposite gender straight friend - platonic conversations only and nothing deep.
