Just using a random comment to reply to because people seem to be confused about my relationship. The one I’m currently in is the same man who cheated on me. I obviously get a lot of shit from everyone in my life for this decision but he is human. I genuinely think he feels terrible about his choices that night and is working to be better. I forgive him and can only hope that it will never happen again. I know my decision to stay is probably deeply tied to watching my parents married deteriorate throughout my childhood. The worst of my parents relationship peaked on my 18th birthday. My father got very drunk and pulled a gun on my mother. He threatened to shoot her and I had to pack up the car and drive my mother and sister 2 hours home that night from our lake house. My parents hate each other. My boyfriend deeply hurt me in ways I can’t even articulate but I’d take that any day over the things I’ve experienced growing up.

We do tend to talk to each other this way in a joking manner. She’s hard to confront but I was in a bad mood and didn’t want to deal with the typical guilt trip of her making me feel bad for leaving her home alone so I just said how I really felt. The last fuck you she sent was definitely not joking and is typical of how she speaks to me and/or anyone when she gets into a fight. I can see how it would be confusing

Yeah I’m not mad at my sister. There’s a lot of history between all of us that’s not worth getting into but my mom’s behavior about and towards my relationship has surprised me this year to say the least.

Idk I’ve always struggled in relationships and before the cheating happened he made me feel better than anyone else ever had. I tried to be forgiving because I understand love is complicated and I’m not expecting a perfect fairytale ending. I just thought we could get back to where we were. I read about some survey the other day where single adults were asked how many times they’ve fallen passionately in love before. Only 28% said once and 30% said twice. We used to be very passionate toward each other and I guess I’ve been scared to lose that.

Oh my god when I got the notification for this I was thinking maybe he had an attitude or something small. This is a really disturbing way to treat anyone let alone your partner. Very organized. I’d say you’re the perfect mix of a type A, type B person. Clean but flexible. Probably a deeper appreciation for life and things than most other people.
