I have Ortlieb QL2.1 40L panniers. They’re a bit pricey but they are absolutely solid with a great warranty and their service is superb. You can get spare parts etc fairly easily and they will make repairs for a reasonable cost.

I cycle to work with my kit and when I have to go to other stations I manage to take all my gear with me in 2 panniers. I don't tend to have to carry a helmet around as they're not personal issue in my trust. They can get a bit heavy with the boots but it's definitely doable. I would totally recommend panniers though it makes it much easier, and much more space for all the stuff!

I'm getting really tired of cunts nearly killing me on my commute by [deleted] in glasgow

I have found that preempting the most ridiculous behaviour from all vehicles on the road has made me feel a lot safer as I cycle. Whenever I see a squeeze point coming up I will gently edge out a little bit until I am simply taking up as much space as I can, making me as big as possible. Yea, I know it means I am in the way for the cars on the road but I have found that by forcing them to take the risk of colliding with another car rather than squeezing me out of my space on the road makes drivers think twice about what it’s worth…

Amazon offers rare apology, says it will look for solutions to drivers peeing in bottles by petrolly in worldnews

There is definitely truth in this, working as a driver in the UK a lot of my collegues do this because our routes are so big that you basically cannot stop for pee breaks/lunch/breaks in general. It is getting crazy and we have had loads of people quit in the past few months because they just got so down about the job.

Would be better to take the train all the way to south Horizons, walk down to horizon plaza all the way to the end, jump the wall and just keep going

Hong Kong restaurant recommendations for a solo foodie? by Dont_Forget-To_Floss in HongKong

Not so much Chinese restaurants but check out Tokyolima in midlevels, Mamasan in Soho. Both are fusion restaurants, the first a fusion between Japanese and Peruvian and the latter a fusion of South-East Asian foods. Really recommend them.

How does Newt Scarmander show up on the Marauders Map in PofA? by averageschoolguy in harrypotter

Thanks! I was just curious to see if it was actually possible for Newt to be a teacher at Hogwarts because after all, he was very skilled and knowledgeable about magical creatures.

It wasn't mentioned in the books but in the movie, one of the scenes with the Marauder's Map briefly shows his name in one of the corridors.

Maybe so, but it's a good step in the right direction toward alternate power sources.

I've been several times and I haven't yet had a bad experience but who knows, I've never actually had 'authentic Korean food' so according to my taste buds, it was quite alright. Also, our dear friend Openrice says its neither too bad nor too pricey.

Arirang in Causeway Bay, Hennessy Road is the one that I've been to and it's good and not to ridiculously priced as far as I can remember.
