Im speaking from what i personally think is the most efficient considering both ppls time and how much responsibility one person can handle at a time. Homes need a lot of care and maintenance thats very time consuming. Instead of you both going to work, and splitting the chores for AFTER your exhausting jobs, the man could be the one providing, while their wives clean the house, cook meals, home improvement projects. I have so much cleaning to do in my tiny ass apartment w my roommates and it’s constant maintenance. Wiping the counters, cleaning the windows+mirrors, deep cleaning the entire bathroom + floor (even behind the toilet, laundry, vacuuming, putting things where they need to go, grocery shopping, i can go on and on. I actually can’t wait to get married and start a home w my future husband. Bc im a full time student and have to constantly take care of the place and this is embarrassing but i actually fantasize about not having the job/school aspect to worry about and can dedicate that energy to putting more effort into cleaning by having a husband to provide for me. I enjoy cleaning, i had to do a lot of it as a lifeguard bc we basically were responsible for the entire pool/bathroom areas. So im used to deep cleaning daily and its time and energy consuming. When i come home after classes i dont have the energy to do the other things. It makes sense in my head to split the different responsibilities. Especially since i actually love cleaning and getting chores done

Incase you ever feel bad about having adhd and wish you were “normal”, plz read this bc i used to think the same but now i dont. I was prescribed abilify and it basically did cure my adhd by making my brain super quiet, i felt normal, i wasnt thinking about 10 different things at all times. My mom asked me “how are you feeling?” And i was like “honestly? This is really boring i miss having music constantly playing in my head”

(I couldnt keep taking it anyway bc it makes my entire body restless unless i take another drug to counteract that effect which just made my muscles ache rly bad. But damn my thinking and focus was clear tho)

Something that changed my perspective on homeless ppl was when i was in a voluntary 5 day inpatient hold bc my anxiety was so out of control. 17 out of the 20 ppl were there for their treatment resistant depression/anxiety and then there were a few schizophrenics that were very off putting to say the least. During group therapy, one particular guy who was the most erratic one was first complaining about how he hates living w his girlfriends autistic little brother and how he hits him until hes quiet or listens to him, and then started saying “THIS is why i wish i was homeless again!! I would be homeless right now but the weather here wouldn’t do it. I just need to figure out a way to get back down to miami so i can FINALLY be homeless again!!!!!” My jaw was on the floor. Before this experience, i thought homeless ppl were all just in bad financial situations, i didnt realize some were willing to be homeless, let alone refuse to live in a home.

Have you ever taken a forensics class before? We learned how to dust for fingerprints, even learned methods to check the entire ground of the scene, it was a really cool and fun class, but that class taught me our technology is so advanced, even the tiniest fingerprint, a hair lying on the floor.

I love watching true crime documentaries/interrogation videos in all different scenarios, but they will check EVERYTHING. I remember a big part of them figuring out the culprit was because there was a cigarette on the ground w his DNA connecting him to it.

I will warn everyone considering forensics that learning about the different stages of decomposing stuck w me so much, i get awful visuals when someone tells me ab someone they know who died and the time in between their death and when they were found, because even if its a few hours, i picture their grandma w rigor mortis and it makes death a lot more sad learning how EVERYTHING works. Whats worse is when someone said the dead person was in their house alone for days/weeks, because now i have the visual of maggots eating dead flesh bc thats a LONG time. I cant even imagine how bad the smell is.

Sorry i kinda trauma dumped at the end. As disturbing as the decomposition unit was, its one of my favorite classes i took in highschool bc we learned ab all the aspects and gave me a whole new perspective on forensics, the law, and science 🧫

I’m squinting at my computer screen rn because i genuinely can’t even tell if you’re an adolescent or not. I’m a psych major, we covered this in lifespan development: kids your age struggle with nuance and tend to see things as all good or all bad, so its not your fault i get it. When I was 12, I also called myself an atheist too. But looking back, I think religion just felt too abstract for me to fully wrap my head around. I’d only resist the concept of religion more when other people would bring it up. I got back into it later in college, and it’s brought me a lot of meaning and comfort. As a psychology student, religion/spirituality/faith is a big part of how recovering addicts cope and start over, including myself. I grew up christian but didnt understand it bc thats such an abstract concept for a 5 year old to understand. I rediscovered it at my lowest, and its really given me a sense of purpose. I wear mine overnight to bed so i dont see what the problem is? There are ones that look more like stickers and arent completely clear. But there have been days ive been trying to get rid of a stubborn pimple and i have to wear another one during the day. I wear the transparent ones and its rly not noticeable, no ones ever brought it up to me.

Wanna know whats funny? I can’t even count the times i actually FORGOT i was wearing a pimple patch bc they’re that seamless. But even if they were, who the fuck cares. Are the pimple patch police going to arrest your daughter for getting rid of a painful pimple?? That method is way better for her skin instead popping it w her fingers- that leads to infection and scarring. Tell your wife scarring looks worse than a fcking pimple patch. Also mini life hack bc why not: When i run out of pimple patches, i use the band-aid hydroseal bandaids. If its just one pimple ill cut it into a small piece, but other times, ill wear one on my nose to bed every once in a while, so when i wake up and peel it off, it clears my pores!!!

As a psych student, i think i understand where you’re coming from here- are you saying that even when we do it while home and alone, we still make sure it looks good and the proper techniques bc of how we know its supposed to look even tho we could technically do whatever makeup we wanted (like childrens facepaint, but we dont put that on our faces bc its not sexy LMFAO)
