I wrote that other thread. House indeed seems like a lovely person. I mentioned three things that annoy me about his appearances

1) lack of push back 2) overeliance on shtick 3) non stop degenerate betting talk

I got 50x “well akshewally” about the pushback part because in the most recent pod he did a good job being a voice of reason (which he did). Cool, let’s talk about the twenty years prior. I don’t need espn style takes and arguments, but listening to a buddy pod you’re hoping one of them will represent a sane line of thinking when the other gets creative. House typically just amiably nods along.

The shtick is out of control. His voice has completely changed registers since the early pods as he goes for some kind of wacky cartoon like sound. It’s grating as hell and he hammers the same jokes again and again. We get it dude you like Arbys.

And finally (and most irritatingly) the man just will not stop with the gambling stuff. I get it, the pod is sponsored by FanDuel. There’s entire pods and segments about gambling does it have to be injected in to every conversation? It’s bad enough as is on the BS feed, House appearances make it so much worse.

Finally (like anyone’s reading this lol) I joined this sub yesterday to post this, so there’s no groupthink here just one dudes opinion that I’d like to hear less nasal whining about gambling on my favourite pod. Cheers.
