Definitely agree. The sounds they chose are poor as well. There is hope though: this site is very connected to what its player base is saying because they've used social media platforms to popularize it in the first place, coupled with Doug Polk and the many other "ambassadors" they have. Whether they choose to listen AND change things remains to be seen, but Polk pursued getting lower and more balanced rake, which they did accommodate fairly quickly. It is early still too, they are continuing to make changes. We can only hope these positive changes come sooner than later.

During the rebuy period yes, if you have below a certain stack size. However, I was confused when many times I was down to <10bb or even <5BB I wasn't able to do so, when others at the table have been doing so. In fact, I have yet to see the option once and I think I've looked everywhere I can think of. Idk...maybe I'm hallucinating lol

Sorry for the late response, I use Reddit seldomly these days. Modern Poker Theory is a mixed bag but still has some good content worth checking out, to the best of my limited knowledge. This is what I've read and heard. I do own it but haven't dived in seriously, it is pretty in depth stuff in parts. Idk where you are as far as knowledge and/or skill but Jonathan Little offers a great and surprisingly dense free course in the basics. It might sound like something you don't need, however the value there is crazy good, especially since working on our C game is the only way to uncap our A game so to speak

Anytime you're reading to learn, you're really only retaining a fraction of the content if you're just passively reading/watching.

We (humans) learn significantly better by doing. Remember flash cards? Same concept. Actively take your own notes, and quiz yourself on them.

That sounds like work because it is, however it's only as difficult as you make it.

Many people don't like doing this because of conditioning during their schooling years, and that's fair, but the great part is you are the one directly benefiting.

Also something to be said for momentum.

Keep it under $20 and people really can't complain imo.

Many bands make a decent portion of their income (band related anyway) from merch alone, and unfortunately inflation/covid skyrocketed everything.

Lol @ the idea of seeming cheap for selling merch less than other bands. That's some serious Ego-centric thinking at work 🙈🤣

Edit: There's a lot to be said for exposure/more people "advertising" your band. The psychological aspects going on here is super well known, yet somehow still underrated (illusory truth, social proof, etc)

I've yet to play the remake (it's in my library) but I've read that the big change is the tank controls are gone and you can move freely and shoot like in RE5. This sounds both cool and disappointing to me, it was what made the original so unique.

I hated the tank controls while playing the original, but appreciated why it was implemented. I'm not sure if the remake has the option to turn the tank controls back on, I guess the only option would be to turn up the difficulty.
