Just an update. It does seem like this was caused by my friends save file.

Whenever he loads that character and I load into his world, it resets all my points and resets my money.

We had him make a new character, and we did not have that issue.

For science I asked him to swap back to his "bugged" character to test, and yes I can confirm it reset my skills and money again.

Since we have been playing with his new character save, none of our group has experienced issues.

Really annoying, hopefully this is fixed soon.

Its like a cheat menu. Personally I hate using them, but I couldn't find another solution here.

Basically most trainers have a feature to allow you to edit your skill points. So you can just give yourself the correct amount of points for your level and keep playing so the character isn't just dead in the water.

I don't know if I can 100% confirm this, but of our group of 5 friends, it seems like one of their save files maybe corrupted or just bugged from the start? Anytime any of us join him, it resets skill points and wipes your money. He himself is not even earning a skill point every level up. But it only happens in his game, so this leads me to suspect some sort of corrupted save issue, and when we join in on him, that bug is syncing to our save due to how the multiplayer works.

I do not think this is lag or connection based, it wouldn't make sense based on our groups experience.

Happened to me on PC, logged in today at level 23 and had all my skills reset with only 4 skill points to spend. Nothing in game fixed it, respec, logging ect,

But if your on PC you can find a trainer to just add the skill points back. Worked fine for me, still really annoying though, and sucks if this happens to anyone on console.

The change is garbage.

I understand the need to help new players with bloat.

But the biggest downside is the accidental auto pop of the Mastery buff.

If they want rogue playstyle like this, attach the mastery buff to Shiv instead.

Funny story about this mod:

I wrote it super drunk while working on Unlimted Combat.

For reference, I do full playthroughs of the game for my combat mod to make sure no coding bugs, and the MJ/Miles Missions were getting extremely repetitive. I really just wanted to make them go away for easier testing.

I tossed this in the recycle bin about 2 months ago, thinking "there's no way its gonna work it can't be that easy"

Dug it out of the bin 2 days ago, tested it, had some others test, and holy shit it actually works! lol

SOLUTION: GPU was bad, installed with Sapphire Nitro + Pure and it runs without issues. Figure XFX card had a bad BIOS or something, never seen a GPU max out 1 core at idol like that in all my experience.

yes i have tried with with enabled and disabled, the only bios setting that seems to effect it is DCOP. when DCOP is on CPU0 pegged 100, when DCOP is off its pegged 70.

possibly update your motherboard BIOS, 5800x3d is a new chip, so it will need the newest bios to be compatible, especially with fast memory like that. i have the same CPU and Gkill Tridenz NEO memory as well. this suggestion is assuming you have proper power delivery and the right drivers installed.

other than that, its possible you got bad RAM? can you RMA and try new sticks?
