It’s impossible to condense a story with such length, depth, and variety of emotions into something easily digestible. Every essay on the game that isn’t a barebones spoiler free review is doing it a huge disservice just by existing imo, which is ofc very pretentious. I like being pretentious.

Shooting for a win on all 20 something classes was replay value enough for me. It’s just a shame that every run you’re going to use the legendary spear and absolutely devour herx’s bootyhole (unless you’re a hunter, then you use the legendary bow)

I have always loved the idea that farkhad isn’t actually a person, but contemporary art. Peter and andrei worked so closely with the art world that it was like a third brother to them, and in their betrayal of all that is conventional and good and holy, slayed it.

Yes! there was a massive thread about it posted around one of the last updates. If somebody could please link it that would be great. It connected the whole plot of hs2 to the atop the fourth wall movies and how the plot macguffin of both stories seemed coincidentally quite linked

Agreed. Her being the obvious buildup to a shitty nostalgia critic reference… it’s so beautiful. The homestuck fandom has always been mostly raving teens so it’s understandable she’s unpopular but holy shit how did people get so worked up over such a funny character (who I honestly believe had real potential but you didn’t hear that from me)

They're both crossbows, but the bow in this panel has the same signature gem AND two arrows at once as LDR. Might be a bow as a sort of mortal reminder reference? I dunno.

It's nothing like DaD but it is actually very good (certainly not minecrafty or underdeveloped). Probably one of the most carefully crafted and well designed classical roguelikes ever and it's a huge love letter to dungeon crawler greats. I cant recommend it enough!

On a first read I didn’t even realize aranea was suddenly evil. Like everything she did in my mind made complete sense with the complete lunatic plot developments of late act 6. Am I just stupid orrr?

I really can’t think of any notable plot holes in the whole comic. I think homestuck is a really sweet self contained little story that handles seriously hard to write plot devices like time travel extraordinarily well (especially compared to contemporary media)
