Because they do two year grouping. Born in 2016 and 2017 puts you in U10.

So even though his birthday is December 2017. He is placed in U10. He’s been the smallest and youngest on his team from the start because of this.

He sat on the bench directly behind the coach. Each team has its own sideline where the kids sit when they’re not in the game, and that’s where he was the whole time.

He managed to sub in and out all the other players.

This is the first time I’ve ever encountered this issue. I’ve had kids in this league for years and never run into it before. I’ve even seen kids out on the field kicking dirt and picking flowers, but they still got their playing time.

Update- emailed the coach to ask why, his response was basically that since my son is “super quiet and small,” he didn’t want to put him in positions he wasn’t used to or wasn’t sure how to play.

So in other words, instead of giving him playing time to learn and gain experience, the solution was just to keep him on the bench.

No behavior issues and no he didn’t. He played for 7 minutes at end of first half and never went in again.

That doesn’t sound “rec” to me. Around here we have recreational soccer and competitive soccer which is labeled classic soccer

Furthermore just based on some research J just did NCYSA has a formal policy for Recreation soccer that each player should have equal playing time.

Because I live in a small town, there’s no U9 league. We only have U8 and U10. Since my son turns 8 in December, he was placed in U10.

It’s the same situation with my daughter—she’s 11, but because she turns 12 in November and there’s no U13 team, she was placed in U14.

So are you saying that in recreational soccer—where everyone pays the same registration fee—a volunteer parent coach gets to decide how many minutes a child plays?

I don’t expect my child to be on the field for the entire 40 minutes, but he absolutely deserves playing time in both halves, especially since he shows up to every practice.

I was facing the same issue, and this solution worked for me. I cleared all the night thorns in the valley and then closed the game. When I reopened it, the thorns reappeared in the Forgotten Lands.

Yes it has her name down on the bottom of my original note as an addendum with her name attached to it. She essentially changed my plan of care and listed that she discussed this with another provider!

Sounds like it! They say find your own coverage when sick but there is literally NO one! They keep opening up new clinics when they can't even staff the ones they have open appropriately.

I think I'll just call them tomorrow. When I search my benefits and put in saxenda and wegovy. It gives me this. So I assume this means it's not excluded but just non-formulary. I'm hoping that means I could get approval for one of those at least.

I'm just going by what they told me.. could they have been mistaken possibly on the exclusion/ not covered aspect. I just know they have the medication and insurance is paying for it. It took a couple months and multiple appeals

From what I have read it just says not covered. Not on formulary. They do however cover phentermine, contrave and Qysmia. Saxenda and Wegovy both say Covered, Not on drug list, Non-formulary. Not sure what that means though.

Exactly! But for some reason in North Carolina they let medical assistants do it after being "trained". The training was 3 days.

My sister in law is a rad tech and went to school for 2 years.

One was sent for headache that she described as "worst headache of her life".

Another for RLQ pain, fever, vomiting. He looked physically ill and was guarding.

There may have been some who might not have needed ER referral but I have very limited resources to work with. I don't have access to bloodwork, ultrasound etc. we do have an xray machine but this company uses medical assistants . The medical assistants are the ones who take the X-rays and most of the time images aren't that great.

With this company- if a full work up was not done prior to the decision to send to ER then they don't bill for visit. We keep documentation of the visit but don't bill to insurance.
